At first I thought it sounds like a simple plot revenge-themed drama there's many of them out there BUT IT'S SOOOOO GOOD! Love every second of it so far
I can't conceptualize how exactly I feel about this movie. It tries to show the perspective of teenage girls involved in enko but... what actually narrative convays is neither the girls themselves nor the expected from such topic feminist point of view, but only unconscious male inclinations towards women. There's also more obvious problem - that showing the problem of objectification and sexualization of girls in this uncomfortable POV way chosen by director, he himself takes part in it to some extent (the fact that the actresses were teens themselves adds another layer to it).
What annoys me the most is that it's almost 2026 and drama subbers still act like a pain in the ass this way.…

This website we talk about just want to make money out of ads and like sure they are free to do that I guess but there's dozens of other shows they can pirate and reupload without stealing from fans...

Anyway I feel like this drama wasted its potential. Jung Yi Shin and her son are such interesting and well done characters. The rest of characters is lacking a bit imo but there's only 8 episodes so I guess I shouldn't be so mad about it. And Go Hyun Jung's acting is soooooo good! I barely remember the original French series but I do remember that it was pretty transphobic and the fact that version made in Anno Domini 2025 did not repair that is crazy to me... Even tho it would be really easy to make killer a transgender woman and at the same time to not include those wierd transmisogynistic parts - like in ep.6 police team are thinking why the killer went through medical transition and they decided that it's because of childhood abuse and that she's "just confused", or the clinic worker saying that killer medically transitioned to be perceived as less threatning, etc. This is literally not necessary to the plot for any other reason than to add even more stigma to already stigmatized group of people... There's still one episode left so crossing my fingers it's not gonna get worse lol

yes, it's a really fucked up story - takumi's older brother, who was their parents' favorite child, was molesting him, but i don't remember exactly how old they both were then... his brother got sick later and died
