Maybe I'm in the minority here but I don't think any fans or "shippers" are at fault for the director editing…
Knowing it's been edited for these reasons has genuinely made me less excited for the next episodes, and I guess that kind of proves my point. We are, in fact, not happy that it's been edited. So now the director has still pleased only some fans, while alienating others, and he's more or less back to square one.
And yeah, I'd like to see the unedited series in its entirety..... maybe. I've lost so much steam and love for this series after the news that I don't even know if I'll ever care enough to watch it again, haha. Maybe that's dramatic, I don't know. But my hyper obsession is fading rapidly!
Maybe I'm in the minority here but I don't think any fans or "shippers" are at fault for the director editing episodes. This kind of fan culture has existed for years and years and directors should really know by now how to handle online feedback and even hate—even though it sucks, obviously! Like I said, you're never going to please everyone. There will always be haters. What's the point of ruining your work by appealing to strangers online? What are the actors going to think about their scenes being edited for this reason? Why even engage with fans the way he does while the show is still currently airing?!
The director let a bunch of fans bully him out of his creative vision. Editing scenes and changing storylines…
I agree. No matter positive or negative reactions from fans, he's not ever gonna be able to please everyone, so why even attempt to do so by retroactively editing? Really disappointing. I think any director should honestly know better than to cave to strangers' opinions and thoughts. It's quite bad practice to take feedback so personally.
I did not watch all episodes properly and skipped some scenes, as I'm waiting for the entirety to be released…
Yup, I just don't get it. This is a series and not real life. My comment wasn't aimed at any real person, so I don't really understand the reason for either of your comments. Don't take my personal observation of a fictional character in a fictional series so seriously.
I'm sorry but I don't get the complaints of the story being bad. I definitely get it not being for everyone, it's heavy on societal/political subjects/vibes, and I even get it can be boring for some—but bad, it is not. I am absolutely loving it so far. Just not very into the secondary couple, that's my only minor complaint.
Nick is my least favorite. I know this is an unpopular opinion haha. He genuinely gave me the creeps in the earlier…
On the topic of threesomes including Ray... in a delulu alternate universe, who should get it with him (among the main six)? Now that's a question hahah.
If you had to choose one who would you say is your least favorite charactor?

If it's true that they edit stuff based on people's reactions online then I still feel like that's on them, and not on fans or even haters who comment online.
Maybe it's just me but isn't it quite a bad practice to take random feedback so personally? From strangers? Obviously I feel bad, as someone who engages with the fandom, but why even look at people's reactions to episodes? For validation??
Someone's gotta say it, to hell with all possible excuses of Chen Yi not noticing/denying Ai Di's feelings. Whether they grew up considering each other brothers or not. Ai Di has done enough, Chen Yi has gotta be one of the densest mfs out there. Like are you for real my man.
I just started this series and wow I am sooooo in love with the acting, the story, the setting, the camera work... I can't believe I hadn't heard about this series earlier!
i definitely would have loved to see that, also i wanna know how ai di got himself in. it was obviously to protect…
Yeahh, like I ASSUME boss got him charged for being an accomplice to Zong Yi or something, or maybe another crime entirely—who knows!
Ai Di and Zong Yi seem clearly close when they are released together on the same day (for some reason, BL logic I guess), so I would've loved to have seen some of that development.
BL tropes all around 😒😒😒. I just felt sad about Zong Yi, he was supposed to become a doctor. The other…
Mm I agree, this last episode specifically I felt that Ai Di just leaving for prison like that was vague and even a little random, in a way. Not because of his character, but because it all felt too fast/too sudden.
I think that moment could've been more impactful and important, but I guess Chen Yi was passed tf out so 🤷♀️
