While DoDoHee may be a successor right now, she never expected herself to be one, nor did she ever believed herself to be part of that household. I also think that Chairwoman Ju raised her with love not with money. the only scene of her childhood we see is that of her school and from outside it doesn't look like an elite school for rich class. This could be the reason why she doesn't exude that cold aura of a rich heiress. Look at all other females in that house, they do have that cold attitude, right.
Comparing her with YoonSeRi is more in line tbh. Both had same origins more or less, both had similar family issues, both are successful businesswoman. Yet, there is one major difference. YSR was an entrepreneur. She made an international cosmetics brand all on her own. DDH, on the contrary, works in a company. No matter how high the position, the mindset of an entrepreneur and officeworker are completely different. That's why YSR was a much more confident and capable person compared to current DDH.
Then again, this all is only my speculation while deeply thinking on both characterizations. It could just be a case of SonYeJin playing YSR like you said, and we all can surely agree that acting range of SonYeJin is some off the charts stuff.
