This is still my suggestion to new viewers, if you can, skip some boring parts from episode 9 and 10, you will like this drama a lot more lol. Don't skip 11 though, its the best episode till now after 7.
Both are different genre, different theme and different episodes count....don't compare.
Frankly though, this drama is doing decently well in its established storybase. The mystery part is decently interesting, romance is slow but definitely there, some characterizations, like the FL's, are super interesting and comedy could be very funny or completely boring depending on the episode. Episode 11 has the best comedy imo.
There are ups and down due to filler content but overall its a pretty good drama tbh.

I think, the old guy in strawhat is a minor god who does the odd job of connecting destinies or such, the kid is the real one who understand both destiny and free will.
Take it like this, the old guy is like that person in lower strata of bureaucracy who creates a fuss over spelling mistakes while the kid is the one making the rules themselves.

Episode 11 is where 1000th hike happens, the story wraps this up very beautifully tbh, I won't be doing it justice by writing this and I would say go ahead and watch it yourself. But if you still wanna get spoiled, onwards!
SPOILERS START ------------------------- The man on her 1000th hike is Ml, basically the man of her destiny. The hike that everyone thought was 1000th was actually 999th. Remember the time when she went on drinks with ML, she missed the hike that day. She discovers that and opens calendar and finally goes on her 1000th hike and find ML right there after completing prayer.

She is confident, knows what she wants and not afraid to go after it without hesitation. Literally a 'breath of fresh air' in kdrama world.
Sincerely, look at the characterization too not just the dialogues. Dialogues are context-less without the characterization.
