Would definitely have loved something like a director's cut version. I feel that it wrapped up too fast, not saying it's bad in any way, just something that would've made it much sweeter for me.
The reason they gave for their breakup to the FL's mother is so different from the real reason if i remember correctly. They said ML asked to breakup cos of his father, but wasn't it because FL couldn't give her all? I feel as if i missed something.
Sejeong acting is so mediocre how can she be main lead? But for some reason this character does suit her lmao…
Wow, on the contrary, I like her acting the most in the drama. Not that others are bad, it's just that I find her acting the most natural and apt for this kind of drama. This is the first drama I'm watching of her's and it's a pleasant surprise so far.
Whatever the shortcomings, one thing I like about this series is that the source of the virus is properly explained and why a cure is not possible. Most zombie shows/movies start with us (and the narrator) not knowing how it all started, feels more like a trope at this point.
The show had alot of potential. The actors were all really good the cinematography and cgi/makeup all top noch.…
Regarding the scientist's kid; he was continuously bullied and despite his father asking him to fight back (school admin didn't help), it was not in his nature to do so. The scientist had done an experiment where he kept a cat and mouse together, we all know how it will end. However, sometimes some rat would show aggression and fight back due to survival instinct. He extracted the blood (or cells, whatever :D) of the rat when it's at this state and created a dose. The idea was to make his son have the same instinct as the rat, be aggressive and fight back. The result was unexpected and we all know how it ended.
This drama gives me all the feels. It deserves a much higher rating. Few points I would like to highlight: ** Story is not original, but execution is as good as it gets. ** ML and FL's chemistry is extremely good. Got to know from AvenueX that LXR's husband is the producer of the drama. He is a huge fan of Wallace and LXR as a screen couple and also hopes to make another drama with both of them when they become older. ** The way ML looks and treats the FL, anger and love combined, makes me appreciate the acting so much. Also, the restrained love they show towards each other makes the outcome so much sweeter. ** Grandfather's redemption arc is such a heartbreaking one but wholesome at the same time. He was a better person towards the end of his life. ** ML and SML's friendship seemed so natural, I loved their conversations. They were very logical and didn't overcomplicate things when things didn't work out. ** I feel sad for Jun, he gave so much. ** Shows us that love doesn't always overcome certain things. Though ML and FL loves each other so much, they would never have been together if it wasn't proven that ML's father didn't have any hand in FL's father's death. ** Pace is a bit on the slow side but it's not a deal breaker for me.
This drama is giving me such mixed feelings. On one hand, the issue they're facing seems so dumb and forced. On the other hand, the leads' acting looks so natural, especially FL. ML's character seems too naïve even though I like the acting.
For now, I'll keep watching it cos the positives outweigh the negatives.
Hmmm, it's not yet available for me to watch, though Tencent clearly says updated to the episode. Leaning tower…
WeTV allows VIP purchase only through the app and not their website. When clicking the purchase button in-app, payment popup is shown but nothing happens. I've tried this since the YAMG days with no luck. My assumption is, google does some kind of validation regarding my actual origin of country (based on account) and since my current country would be different due to VPN, it doesn't allow payment processing.
In the ep 21 fight scenes with the armored enemies, any rational person, especially soldiers/fighters, would attack the weak points of an opponent. Here we see them hitting and slicing the armored areas again n again. It was so silly and a huge letdown.
