I think that her mother in law knew that her son was beating his wife but was in denial about it and would do anything in order to not have to face the reality of the situation. I wonder how they'll resolve this, because all evidence was either covered up and/or destroyed. Maybe people suffering from guilt will finally come forward.

I really think that her mother-in-law's assistant who arrived at the apartment that night probably was the one who stabbed the FL's ex-husband and freaked out and wiped his prints off the knife and so the FL was instead charged with the crime. I think his guilt just kept mounting as he knew how merciless his boss truly was and had to bear with the consequences of his actions, seeing the FL go to prison, witnessing the FL's father get hit by the car due to his interference, at the very least he didn't kill her baby.

idk how old the SML was supposed to be in that flashback. I kinda wish the SML didn't have the whole childhood connection backstory... can't they ever make it a teen connection? I could understand the fixation more so in that case.

I forgot who that one woman was that lives in the same building as the ML... Was she the one who was an inmate with her who also had to give up her baby? is that why SML had the private detective take photos of her? in the hopes that would lead him to the FL?

I wonder what the name of the drama means, how it relates to the plot ...Is anyone no longer the most beautiful…
The name of this drama was inspired by a poem from Noriko Ibaragi:

When I Was The Prettiest In My Life

When I was prettiest in my life,
the cities crumbled down,
and the blue sky appeared
in the most unexpected places.

When I was prettiest in my life,
a lot of people around me were killed,
in factories, in the sea, and on nameless islands.
I lost the chance to dress up like a girl should.

When I was prettiest in my life,
no men offered me thoughtful gifts.
They only knew how to salute in the military fashion.
They all went off to the front, leaving their beautiful eyes behind.

When I was prettiest in my life,
my country lost in a war.
”How can it be true?" I asked,
striding, with my sleeves rolled up, through the prideless town.

When I was prettiest in my life,
jazz music streamed from the radio.
Feeling dizzy, as if I'd broken a resolve to quit smoking,
I devoured the sweet music of a foreign land.

When I was prettiest in my life,
I was most unhappy,
I was most absurd,
I was helplessly lonely.

Therefore I decided to live a long time, if I could, like old Rouault of France,
who painted magnificent pictures in his old age.

wasn't there supposed to be a drama special? I know that no new episode was going to air, but I thought they'd air something in its stead?

Episode 11. Production missed out putting wound marks on HyunSoo's hands. His hands looks perfectly okay in the…
I mean, Cha Ji Won would've had marks on her neck from someone strangling her too. It's pretty common for dramas to make the leads prettier versus being faithful to how long an actual cut would take to heal and all that.

TBH I never would have guessed Min Seok was buying his victims... I totally pegged him for the type who'd enjoy…
do you think his dad really killed his mom and committed suicide though? or do you think the accomplice killed both Do Min Seok and his wife just for the kicks?

wow! I really like the theory of an organized crime going on. It does make sense and adds up to my own theory…
HAHA it's ok, I like typing up long theories. XD multiple accomplices is a good idea, hadn't thought of that...

In ep 7 though we got the flashback of the ML missing his mom and refusing to eat and his sister cutting a mark into the tree as the height he has to reach before she says she'll go and find their mom and bring her back to them. She was telling him this so that he wouldn't get punished by his dad for not eating. The dad's only means of punishment was making him copy Myeongsim Bogam (an ethics book) in the basement. Plus, it's the only flashback we got of his dad where his eyes aren't entirely black. It's a very Joseon era type punishment - copying an ethics book, plus his dad just looked weary and his eyes are sad in that flashback.

I know we got that bunny trapping flashback that really made the dad out to be a psycho who traps and kills animals for fun and that he's teaching his son to be cruel to animals as well. Both these flashbacks and the info we gleamed from both of them seem to directly contradict one another. I was thinking that maybe some of his past memories are incomplete or got distorted. Maybe this'll be the case or maybe not. Personally, it'd be more interesting to have his father be a serial killer but a lot of the times I think it's going to turn out not to be true.
