Ding Yuxi proves to be the best part of every project he's in yet again. I'd rather them not to try and make the time travel plausible or whatever, if that was even the attempt? idk The ending could've been better tbh.
You know what, this genre is pretty new to the drama world. It's been picking up a lot of fans in the webcomic…
YES, that would've been awesome. Maybe next time... I really enjoy the hate-to-love situation we got going here though in this drama so far. Also, enjoying the fact that the 2nd male lead has switched preferences now.
The plot has been very predictable so far and I am not really liking it. If they really come up with the typical…
yep, an entire drama built on what could be resolved in a single conversation feels like super lazy writing to me, but hey, that's a lot of dramas! haha
Maybe since this isn't my first rodeo, but all theories still hold up true for me. You can't trick me drama! I still think everyone nailed it early on with their theories, Ryu Jin's first love who convinced him to go into acting was Dae Oh. I'm sure of it. He also had a role in breaking them up. She'll obviously end up with the writer. I like the gangster but they haven't developed any romance between him and the FL plus he's always flash-backing to some other woman he's hung up on so I don't so much ship him and FL together. I have a soft spot for the teacher, but I know she won't end up with him in my heart of hearts, sooo yeah... this could've been a more fun reverse harem but it's kinda same-old, same-old. Which isn't necessarily bad, I just don't think it's breaking any new ground drama-wise.
The only theory that partially made sense was that the male lead is immortal and that's why he had to break up with her various times, but even then...
If Eun Hee actually accepted an engagement ring from her boss AFTER Chan Hyuk opened up to her about his past and said that he wanted to be more than friends then I just don't know about her character anymore...
I feel like I just barely forgave her for sleeping with her boss the 2nd time when she knew he was 'drifting apart' from his 9 year old relationship. Is it just too much to ask for strong & well-written female characters? I made a ton excuses for her and I'm glad to be challenged with characters who are less than perfect and have flaws, but still... I hate when I'm frustrated with characters like this. Anyways, hopefully it's just some more misdirection??
Do you guys think that woman singing Clementine in the hospital is really Go Moon Young's mother? and that her mother murdered Moon Gang Tae's mother and her father went crazy afterwards and that's why he tried to strangle his daughter?
Ding Yuxi is by far the highlight of the show. His performance was so good and I really enjoyed his character a lot, he wasn't the stereotypical male lead and he often felt like the second lead. His character was a very mischievous nice boy who's so selfless and caring towards his best friend and his love interest. Whenever his character felt heartache, you feel hurt too.
All the other actors were very wooden or just had annoying things about their characters that took a lot for me to get past. Although I guess it's a good thing the second male lead doesn't have as much charisma as the male lead, otherwise you'd feel really torn between them because they're both nice boys. The male lead just understood the female lead's needs better and had more in common with her, the second lead was dense af.
This was very watchable for me though, I thought for sure I'd drop it however there was just enough that I liked about it and enough mysterious backstory to be revealed that it kept my interest.
Lots of unnecessary misunderstandings amongst characters that get dragged out for far too long though. Zhuo An was particularly annoying as the stereotypical crazy jealous ex girlfriend.
I found that the ending was very lackluster to say the least, but at least it's a happy ending for the otp. It's a pretty cute youth drama though, just wish they had cast different actors for some roles, their inexperience was really obvious.
I kinda wish it wasn't sooo obvious who she's going to end up with. If she doesn't end up with the writer I'd be so shocked. Everything feels like obvious misdirection though.
