for the ones who have paid express and watched the whole drama... i have a question after ep 33:

i am always group 1: i watch a drama for entertainment and if visuals and actors are ok, i will watch it, not because it doesnt have flaws, as i am not a drama director nor a screenwriter, and i like to leave that job to professionals ( which I am not), but because, even with unrealistic plot it entertain me. (lets.be clear, i have NEVER expect a drama to be realistic, or i would rather watch a documentary or a docu-series)
i do not think many people are number 3 for this reason:
we are by nature emotional beings , everybody can enjoy simple things because they make us feel better, we can enjoy something pretty for the sake of it, we can enjoy unrealistic plot because.. why not?

so, also when watching dramas, i am pretty sure we all want to be entertained and our emotions get engaged with it, and we decide if we like something or not, checking for flaws is an excuse, the truth is: we do not like it and we start analysing in depth , and if we like to rant about, we also write negative reviews or comments just to prove a point.

i am sure many viewers that can detatch so much from emotions when watching one specific drama, they suddenly give a 10 to a silly, terrible screenwriting and idol dramas simply because they like the actor, or they like the vibe... so at the end we are all the same
some people.

all of this to say, on this drama i am a watcher type 1, but ep 33 was a filler for me 😁😉😋😋😋

surprisingly for me as not my usual type of drama, i loved this one! the ML is so different from the usual ML, so straightforward and rational till the end.

yeah i got it, however the confusion is because MDL is adding many new titles when they could just either use this one here of 30 episodes, or the individual mini series. or they could simply keep the 60 episedes of the 2024 drama ( it is still showing 60...)
the count on MDL of total episodes watched calculates 60+ 30+8+8+8+6 instead of a totla of 60 only.
the 2024 series is still counting 60 episodes, which calculates the 2 parts together [30 released in 2024 and 30 released in 2025).

furthermore, MDL has added an extra title indicating 30 episodes of the 2024 drama... so you now have 6 extra titles which in facts are simply the 60 episodes of the 2024 drama.

i had struggled the first few episodes becauuse not my usual genre, but then a few things kept me glued to it: the natural scenery rather than green screens generally used on this type of drama. which choice made it more difficult for the crew and actors as recorded in a live environment. so a very well done for the overal result and look!
furthermorw the ML is a very grey character, he has a sense of own morality and killing comes easy for him, no guilty feelings.
he is very focused on cultivating, and nothing is distracting him. not even love. he is not the usual hero, he sometimes decides to hide instead of fighting, making him a true survivor (a bit selfish sometimes.. 😉😉)
and the way they gain relics/powers just remind me of the way of gaming.

summertime is so very productive for good dramas, i myself have a lot on my CW list and this one so far is my favourite, from the visuals, the fighting scenes, and why not, the chemistry.
immortal Ascension is my nnextfavourite, quite surprisingly as not my usual genre (too much fantasy) but as well great fighting and i like the male lead very focused on what he wants to achieve.

i am with you, a non reader of the novel, so fully enjoying this drama as it is, without comparing ☺️

it got better here, it is definitelly on the athletic side, but more of a kick feet than sword fight (historical dramas) 😁😁
he has a long list of dramas upcoming ( checking on his profile), so hopefully some longer ones 😊😊
