Don't mind me.. I'm just mourning the loss of how much potential this drama had and how much more beautiful it would've been if it followed the novel thoroughly from start to end. They made too many changes, especially in S2, that it feels like every other drama now instead of a complex story with complex characters.
To the Lost You Forever drama: I'm grateful you were created because your cinematography, BGM, OST, and most of CGI are stunning. You introduced me to a beautifully poetic novel and so many wonderful actors, actresses, and characters. However, it's unfortunate you were produced in an era with too many restrictions that prevented you from reaching your full potential... :-(
Idk if it's the year wait or me not liking politics, but S2 doesn't hit the same as S1. I'm just here to see XL…
You and me both. It's so boring when Xiang Liu isn't here. I literally skip or fastforward every scene that doesn't have him in it LOL and feel sad everytime I watch the opening and ending credits because it makes me miss Fang Feng Bei and just S1 in general š
In the portrait in ep 14, Chi Chen wore red while Ah Heng wore blue. The novel also described them wearing these colors.
In eps 22, 23, and 35 of S1 (and probably more eps that I just can't name at the top of my head right now), Fangfeng Bei wore shades of red while Xiao Yao wore shades of blue.
They aren't being discreet about the parallels at all š
I was thinking about just how lucky I am to have 4 episodes to watch today since I missed yesterday JUST FOR 14 TO END ON A FREAKING CLIFFHANGER-
Also why do they keep ending the episodes so abruptly?? In S1, they used to pause the last scene then fade out before rolling the ending credits. S2 has no pauses or fade, just a *snap* scene switches to ending credits.
Some of the details were a bit different in the novel, but the general concept was there.-----Chapter 39:Zhuan…
AH always pulling up with novel excerpts. Thank you!
So it seems like Jin Xuan was able to free herself and live a good rest of her life? Love that for her. I do wish that she was the one who said the whole "I'll soon forget you and find someone else" quote just like the novel. In the drama, it was Cang Xuan who said it.
Lmao. You make it sound like Xiang Liu was able to "enter" Xiao Yao's heart because of the bugs, when the truth,…
It's just that the Lovers Bugs are clear evidence of YaoLiu's love, so obvious that I can't even fathom how people view it as simply platonic friendship.
But arguing with these people is just like arguing with a wall. Like you said, even if we pull up straight facts, they'll dismiss it and believe in their own beliefs instead. Thankfully, we already know how loved Xiang Liu is by fans, Xiao Yao, and even the author herself.
Jin Xuan to Cang Xuan: "You have treated me very well. But it's not the feeling I want." "I fear my desires and jealousy will turn me into the kind of person I hate."
Is this an extra scene added by the drama? I don't remember it being in the novel. Either way, it's interesting to see how Cang Xuan could've been if he wasn't so possessive over Xiao Yao. (I just realized their names are pretty similar too)
Lmao. You make it sound like Xiang Liu was able to "enter" Xiao Yao's heart because of the bugs, when the truth,…
Why are you āvery sureā that they didnāt love each other when the Lovers Bug literally exists? Itās solid evidence that they did love each other back in Qingshui Town and still do now despite their opposing stances. Proof that you didn't even care to acknowledge its existence and purpose.
If you read the novel then you already should know that the bugs never turned into Heartbreak Bugs, even during emotional and romantic moments with Jing. When Xiao Yao dated and kissed Jing, nothing happened. When Xiao Yao was so heartbroken over Jingās death to the point where she wanted to kill herself, nothing happened. Many years passed by and absolutely nothing happened to the Lovers Bugs. In the end, Xiang Liu had to kill them himself. This all demonstrates a strong mutual love between him and Xiao Yao, does it not? Imagine how many more years they wouldāve lasted if he hadnāt killed them.
And Iām not sure why youāre saying we should focus on feeling sorry for Xiang Liu for taking on those bugs. Thereās so much more to love and discuss about Xiang Liu outside of that lol. It seems to me that we should focus more on the Lovers Bug instead because clearly, a lot of people aren't understanding its purpose. Since you believe that Xiao Yao never loved Xiang Liu, please explain why Tong Hua would create the Lovers Bug plot and why they never turned into Heartbreak Bugs.
With Ep12, we have passed the halfway point for LYF S2In the race into Xiaoyao's heart that is "so hard that a…
Lmao. You make it sound like Xiang Liu was able to "enter" Xiao Yao's heart because of the bugs, when the truth, which so many of you YJ turn a blind eye to, is that the LOVERS bug requires both parties to be IN LOVE in order for it to work. The fact that they were successfully implanted in both Xiao Yao and Xiang Liu means their love is mutual, not to mention they never turned into Heartbreak Bugs. But of course, let's ignore that fact and just criticize Xiang Liu instead because acknowledging the Lovers Bug would mean YaoJing isn't real. I don't care if you ship YaoJing, but insisting that the only person Xiao Yao loves and have ever loved is Jing is just ridiculous.
Why are you pissed? In the novel she came with this idea for delaying her marriage to jing herself, without anyone…
Ah yes, you're right. Xiao Yao delaying the marriage to the person she loves and wants to be with means absolutely nothing because she still married him in the end anyway.
Only 10 minutes into episode 11 and I just have to say, I've always loved how Yang Zi cries. She's one of the…
Yes! That's one of the reasons why she became my favorite. Amazing actress who always puts her 100%. Even personality-wise, she's very friendly and seems like such a lovely person.
Atp I'm really feeling disbelief as to how XY is unable to notice CX's and XL's feelings for her. People says…
For Cang Xuan, I believe it's cuz she only ever saw him as a brother. It's kinda hard to explain 𤣠Once you think of someone as close family, then it's tough to view them in a romantic light, you know? And for Xiang Liu, it's because he kept their relationship transactional (ex: saving Xiao Yao in exchange for a part of Chenrong mountain) and because Xiao Yao has always been a cynical person and unsure of Xiang Liu's feelings for her. Plus, it's easier for us to see that both Cang Xuan and Xiang Liu loves her since the drama shows their perspective to us.
Trying to watch it from start, Jing character is frustratingly dull, stoic & weak, comparison to others. I have…
Unfortunately, visuals play a major role when it comes to popularity, not talents and skills. (This isn't referring solely to DW and ZWY, it's about the entertainment industry and even just life in general)
after watching the first 5Eps all i can say i do not feel sorry for XL anymore. Like He had so many chance to…
I think you should try to understand the reasoning behind his actions instead of getting salty over it. Xiang Liu wouldn't be the person he is if he abandoned Hong Jiang and his Chenrong army comrades just to be with Xiao Yao.
brb crying again š
