Nothing to do with SBMS, just me - I've got three adult sons and I've had them all living me at different times of their lives, after break-ups, job losses, rental situations. At this moment they are all married & have their own families, but I would hate to think that I wouldn't offer them a sanctuary if they were down on their luck. I'm getting the feeling that the relationship between JB's father and mother wasn't good, so maybe that messed up the sister from a young age, but still, the sister says she doesn't want love but she is hell bent on getting her sister a man?

When he talked about 'guiding her back to her true path' I was wtf? It makes it sound as if he thinks she is going out getting drunk & getting laid every night, and needs to be guided back to a 'decent' life. Mind you, as a divorced woman she would have every right to do those things and it would be nobody's business but hers.

I know they are completely different characters, but I like Sheng Yang way more than Dr Gu in OOL. SY seems so natural and personable. I know what you mean about XZ BEING SY, not just another version of himself. I notice many Chinese actors completely take on their roles, as opposed to eg Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise in every movie he makes.

I commented further down that SY has got the drive and talent and he wants to prove himself to be as good as JB and be a success in his career. He doesn't want to be her toyboy and live off her money. I hate that everyone else is assuming that he wants to use her, from the ex to her sister to his mother.

He's going to have even less means if he has to rent a place for himself. He has just started a fledgling business with no income yet, and the mother thinks the best way to help is to kick him out? He is going to end up in a worse flat than Song Chen's place. Unless he moves in with JB, but I don't see that happening at this point.

What is the deal with hockey boy still trying to convince his uncle to go to the hospital where JB's dad is? He has seen for himself that JB is with SY. He even said himself that he knew JB didn't like his uncle, so why is he still pushing it. BRAT!

I seriously hated the way she tried to undermine his self-confidence and faith in himself. That is a horrible thing to do to one of your children.

I've got down-time this afternoon, so I gave this some thought. Maybe they are only promoting Wu Xing Jian (hockey boy) but they need the girl there to give a plausible reason why he is part of the story, even if it is an unnecessary part of the story.

Irrelevant comment - I like Sung Dong Il as an actor, but by now he has played so many 'chief' roles - forest ranger, policeman etc, he should be eligible for a government pension when he retires...
