Ratings here is because there were many viewers who totally enjoyed Hidden love and shared their reviews. So far it's showiing +27k watchers which is way higher than Lusi's previous LLTG. The more viewers the more feedback. That's good you enjoyed Forever Love & ratings could be higher if many watch it, however for me not all will have the same heart fluttering feelings compare to Hidden Love. There's that maturity about Lusi and Zheyuan acting in this drama to the extent makes viewers believe they're in a "Relationship" for acting so natural & too comfortably intimate ; and it also got to do with the popularity of the main leads, Lusi and Zheyuan has proven their strong chemistry off/on screen as the drama progresses and ends... I'm not a fan of Highschool/uni romcom drama so Forever Love may not be my interest but Hidden Love looks similiar a young sweet love from a girl But the vibe is different with older love interest Jiaxu & an annoying brother Sangyan growing up, and on top of that this drama is more focus to the main leads developing love story in each episodes with less second leads screen time interaction of their own love story or love triangle. Also the OST is simply brilliant, every songs played just harmonioulsy blends well in the scenes..My favorite Forever Star :) Hidden Love is simply brilliant out from a popular novel story ... REgarding Jiaxu & Zhi relationship, they did plan to go fly together to meet Zhi family and reveal their relationship but ShangYang beat them and flew to Yihe to find out since he was already worried and suspected her sister is involved to some shady bf esp. of what happened last online dating. Jiaxu even mentioned to him that he plan to see his brother but hold of in telling him over the phone as it's too informal. As for Zhi parents it's the same, he told them when he visited them but was turn down by Zhi dad because of his situation and they're worried Zhi will suffer financially and not able to enjoy her life since she will end up taking care of Jiaxu dad as well.... and that's how Jiaxu handled the courtship, he wanted to be financially stable first then come see her parents whe he's ready with good financial standing for Zhi's future. He did reveal how he will take care of Zhi and he's serious about her but that doesn't really matter if he's not in good financial and social standing... I know Zhi won't care but her family does.. As for the other countries on family obligation, a lot of Asian countries with strong family ties culture, the parents work hard for their kids and then kids return the favor to take care of their parents once they're financially able, it's like a cycle and this is just financial obligation within family, but also it's not logical for a dad to commit crime is also his son's crime... this is not during the ancient historical times when one family member commit treasons the entire clan is oblitirated/mudered upon royal edict. In this story Jiaxu is only helping pay his father's debt because no one else pays for it since mom died before dad crime is forgiven and the vicrtim's family kept harassing them. If this debt was not paid then there's more reason for JiangYing to harass Jiaxu for his dad's debt for the rest of his life. That's why he worked hard with double jobs /save money since high school and college just to pay off his dad's debt to set him free from them. As for the engagement ring, it doesnt matter where it is worn , actually most prefer the middle finger for engagement ring and ring finger for wedding ring.

With regards to Jiaxu (third party), zhizhi hides her love interest to Jiaxu earlier & didn't flirt with him instead made Jiaxu woe her to gain her trust and love,... as for JiangYing , she wants him but more of psychological obsession by insisting his financial/emotional responsibility of her and in doing so her guilt trip reminders of his family against her family ; it's like if she's not happy then it's only right for Jiaxu to make her happy & make him hers only... so really there's no love triangle if one is party is psychologically sick and not on the right state of mind.... she just need psychological help to move on. As for Jiang Ming, the moment he reveal his insterest to Zhizhi, she set the expectation straight to JM and told him right away that she's already seeing someone and JiangMing being the gentleman that he is, accepted it respectfully and move on and didn't bother her anymore... i think that's normal when he only started to admire Zhizhi and no love were developed yet. I always think a love triangle , is when there's history and deep feelings were already developed of the two people to the third party ... just my thought.
