How can any grown man let his mother control him like this....? Did he have a nervous breakdown or some mental issues.................?? She wlks in every minute... and pushing a girl on his face... is she mental case..?
I just started this drama, both QL and WC are actors I really like.... but the first red flag is the actress Chen Jin, she usually takes characters who are mean and nasty, and she excel in that.... here she is ML's mom.....oh no...!!! Another thing the young Leads both the boy and girl looks damn cute....!
For some unknown reasons, I just can't get myself to watch the show. I have try to watch it several times but…

I went through the same dilemma.. and it took 3 years to start this again..and now i completed. The reason was the Character ZL played, initially I was finding it difficult to take.. a wildling of a child....! But slowly you will know how she is what she is.... ill mannered and un educated... and crooked to the bone..! She is an abandoned child, badly treated by her devious aunt and grandma (bad grandma...eek!) but she is FL, so she is clever learned things by herself... I wont spoil it a lot for you.. but this is to get the general idea... By ep 20... the story changes... NOW...whats worth watching is.... Wu Lei and his black Squad... its a really Wow top team.. The sound effect of them riding in is really good... the cinematography and bgms are all really good...! The emperor.... he is one of a kind, you will never find in any CDrama... he is funny, sensible and not manipulated by the court... not suspicious... or doubts everyone... His empress and consort.. both are top... peaceful Harem... but the next generation is total rubbish... rude, ill-mannered.. lot.. FL's family parents, brothers, cousins... all good... Best thing I really liked in this drama is... they dont kill off all the single people at the end... like SML.. the last scene is really good...!
If its the same reason.... then go ahead... all other characters are really good.... So let me know.. if you watched... its a test of patience... initially! See I really like Wu Lei's acting... ever since I saw this kid in Nirvana in Fire... so I try to watch most of his dramas... if they are ok..
Another thing I wanted to say is ...its the make up which makes the drama more presentable or likeable.. like Li Yun Rui's hair style is bad here... but good acting... and this same guy slayed it in BLOSSOM again the hair style there was awesome...!

Such a funny guy, but you have to admire, which other actor will stand up and say it so openly. From what I have read here and there, LGX was always pretty laid back, takes few dramas... but he delivers, taking that negative role in Tale of Rose shows how good he is in his profession. Even Master of my Own, everyone was so upset with the character... but he did it so convincingly....! Good to see such a good Comradery between these two, ZLY and LGX. REBIRTH - People of course will be commenting on this, bcoz second part is few years after the ice lake incident. Unless ice lake made them younger (hence, the word REBIRTH...lol!) the second part of the book doesn't go with it. I don't think its the same behind the screen crew also.
IMO This must be actually part 1 & 2 together as one new Princess Agents drama. Li Yun Rui indeed came out so good in Blossom.

Thanks, actually when i saw the scene when she started realising he may not be the one poisoned her in ep 4, story slowly started changing... so I became more hopeful lol!! so I will look forward to 10..I am just starting ep 7. I try to watch most of the dramas directed by Deng Ke.. his dramas are always serious with lots of humor, with a mix of everything . I enjoyed his - A heroic Husband, ShenLi, Guardians of Dafeng, Prisoner of Beauty, Shadow Love. Now I am looking forward to his - Escape to Your Heart, which has Ding Yuxi and Deng EnXi, same lead as in Melody of Golden Age... !!

I have reached ep 4... keep saying to myself.. it will get better. I think i started it for Lu Yu Xiao, I have only seen Hou Ming Hao's old dramas When we were Young and A girl like me. he is so much better here... I have seen clips of few of his recent dramas... but i usually find it difficult to watch Xinxia... unless the story is good... I sat through most of the Till the end of Moon, but couldnt take anymore of the torture the poor guy had to go through from childhood and stopped... If I were in his place... I would have send those ravens to pluck out the eyes of everyone without mercy.... jeez!! But Legend of Shenli... i enjoyed watching bcoz its more a modern Fantasy, with actual beautiful locations and it was hilarious... my God, all of them were so good... plus the CGI, cinematography, music all were exceptional...

Surprisingly now all the comments are Wow..! how good it is... made me doubt if i was in the same drama page..... rofl!
I am happy there are others too finding it difficult.. and hope it gets better..... I am not that much of a Xinxia/ fantasy drama fan... but I am willing to go till ep 10, hoping its really good as everyone says..

Eventhough I like these investigation dramas... there are few things which is very annoying....
Yes this is the world of powerful and rich win.... The defense lawyer will go to any extreme to win... so the drama gives the message of no hope for truth to win.. This maybe the reality but it is not normally shown out... He only feel remorse when the op lawyer is the female he fancies...!!
Then impersonation is such a crime... but the FL is thriving in the Court... and have no qualms about it. I am on ep 28... Even though i like these actors... i am not liking the characters... hope things will improve in the final two episodes....
If you haven't seen "Coroner's Diary"... give it a go.. its a crime investigation... but historical... very enjoyable...!!

Is this casting really true? Ning Yi and Feng Zhi Wei are the characters they did in The Rise of pHoenixes, which was really an amazing drama and they had such chemistry....
