I like the way he walks, his stride and the way he way he carry himself, can be a real warlord... and he is gettin better and better with each drama....

Actually... i have finished this and rewatched also... then went on and started other dramas... and realised..." the way the story progressed in TPoB is so good... like both were impressed with the looks at first sight... then it went on to both starting treating each other with caution, but with respect... esp the way the FL took care of everything about him... and slow burn start of romance."" was so refreshing.... without the usual... shouting and fighting usually follows with the leads initially in most dramas. The beauty of this drama... they both loved each other and tried to sort out everything smartly... I think in this day and age... naturally isnt that what we all prefer to watch...! So it is very difficult to watch another romance drama......
Legend of ZhangHai is good I heard.. so will be trying that out... which is political suspense drama.....
Things I liked in this drama Eventhough I started watching this for Song Zuer, I think Liu Yuning was standout in his role, he looked the part of warlord Wei Shao, one of his best. Lulu Xuan was amazing in this drama, this is the first time I am seeing her in a negative role and she really gave her all.... So was Liu Duan Duan, Eventhough he started negatively... really turned out to be more thoughtful and kind. He was impressive in his short role...! Another thing I really liked is the relationship of Wei Shao and Yan, eventhough Yan wanted to break off the Wei Qiao relations initially, he never once had any evil intention towards his cousin. So was Wei Shao, eventhough he was a jealous man when it comes to Manman... he was willing to forgive Yan if he correct his ways....!
The story IMO Qiao Clan is famous for scheming and calculating... grandfather was the master manipulator,.. and Manman grew up under his watch and his teaching... and learned well too. The reason he sent a letter to Wei Shao's grand mother for marriage is, he realised Wei Shao is so powerful, he can easily take Yanzhou. And Manman knew she could do a better job at this than her sister.... hence she helped her elope with Bai Zhi, who didnt have anything other than a good heart and strength. What was she thinking... how they will survive.. both the girls are brought up with everything and had a pampered life....!! Once family decided on sending manman, grandfather told her, if WeiShao is captivated by you... you can save YanZhou. So from day one everything she did was towards that purpose.. QMs father was the only sensible and compassionate person in that clan, luckily Ci took after him...!!
But the initial meeting was something... both of them were impressed with each other... ! WeiShao was so torn by breaking the oath he gave his brother... he felt guilty for his feelings towards QM,
The best outcome is both eventually fell for each other.... and it all went happily ever after... Qiao Ci - for the little part he did, he was really good....
Funny Stuff All QM's attempt to flirting with WS...didnt land on him... which was really funny... bcoz it happened in many episodes...!
Things I didnt like... Liu Yan was wasted.... for a son who killed his father and became the leader he was too shallow, didnt have any strong scenes.... sadly!!
Wei Liang - of all the generals.. he was shown as a weakling who leaks everything to QMs teams... even his death wasnt that heartbreaking... infact Wei Qu carrying his body and fighting and eventually bringing him home had much more impact.... that was a heartbreaking scene...!
The way it started... promised some good war or some action..... but it didnt happen.... !!

But funny part I have this feeling advisor somehow took him in circles and brought him back.. bcoz he either end up sleeping with WeiYan or his office.... we have never seen him meeting advisor's family...!!

After finishing it last night... I went and rated each and every episode as well as the Drama rating... still it didnt go to 9. But today morning Hooray!!! its 9 now....
I like Wei Shao's character but after reading this I really pity him
After reading the post in X me too felt kinda bad. He also never gave her any choice initially. But if we look at the Manman, her clan, her people whom she lived for till she agreed for the marriage with WS (or rather she schemed), everystep after that she met with suspicion and hatred and traps..... after taking the seal she was send back without marrying. WS agreed to marry just bcoz Liu Yan entered PanYi with Manman and he realised it will be difficult for them... and then her grandfather death, he realised one year of mourning so again PanYi wont be under Wei if they delay it one more year..... After coming to YunJun, she was left outside the main gate for three days in rain... sick and cold... Then mother and the girl made her life difficult... She wasn't given any support or affection from Wei side, but just bcoz she was very clever to plan her every step, every move, she could survive..... she did fall for him, but that didnt make a blind or soft to not to be always sharp and on her toe..... That scene when she went around lighting fire to sulphur... she was thinking of people..... then she hear everyone's slogan kill QM to boose morale...!!!!!! till she slapped him when he saved her... to realising she did something to the leader while standing around his generals.....lol!!!!!!!!!! was so funny...!!!
