I think there is explanation in the novel, at least I read it somewhere here - the tribulation is over. The tribulation…
Yes, I also think so too. I'm glad than Yuanqi doesnt have to sacrifice himself as the tribulation is now over and only required a complete sacrifice. I was worried since he also inherited the power of chaos haha

Dw about your rambling lol I always enjoy reading your post bcuz it's full of detailed thinking and perspective about the drama. ^^ When you enjoy something so much it's bound to happen where your train of thoughts just continue to unravel as u keep writing haha. At this point I feel like you should write a blog about ALP bcuz your post is always so thoughtful, extremely detailed and well explained. I feel like this rly is helpful for people who are not only new to ALP but also to those who are left confused about any scenes they didn't fully understand.
Anyway I appreciate your input about the tribulation of chaos. If like you said it is a 1 time thing as in a sort of test then I'm glad it wouldn't happen again as it only required the sacrifice of someone who holds the power of chaos. Since in the drama they said that Yuanqi also inherited the power of chaos, I was worried he might be the next one to be sacrificed again for peace of the 3 realms....but since both you and @Norway said that it's a one-time only and that in the novel the tribulation is over I can feel at ease knowing Yuanqi will be safe from being sacrificed. I love the fact you touched on love and responsibilities, bcuz Shanggu/Bai Jue rly embodied these themes in the drama. That's also what touched the Ancestral God too bcuz they not only fulfilled their duty as true gods but the love between our cp was so relentlessly pure that we were able to obtain our "miracle" and the ancestral god brought him back. Overall, there is a lot we can learn after watching ALP, not just about sacrificial love but also the fact that even true gods can shoulder a lot of burden and responsibilities. Mortals can rely on gods when they need help, but what about true gods? Who do they rely on when in need of help? They only have themselves to fix and resolve things. So to me this rly gives a different perspective to think about. As for the ancestral god, the fact that Bai Jue came back was a real miracle and an exception. Zhiyang even said that out of the 4 true gods, he has a soft spot for Shanggu...so maybe he rly took to heart what shanggu said while she knelt for 500 yrs...She even mentioned before the new God of fire is reborn it has to be Bai Jue and is even willing to give up her life for it. So we all know that in the end Shanggu's wish came true and the ancestral god rly showed compassion bcuz if not then the new god of fire would def have been someone other than Bai Jue.
I can totally relate to you! I also fell for Xukai after watching him in Arsenal Military Academy, then I watched…
Yea he's def a versatile actor, I love his micro expressions it rly draws you in with the emotions that are being portrayed in the drama. I'm lit on a Xukai marathon lol bcuz I love watching him haha

Yea I heard about that too but bcuz I rly like Xukai/Bailu pairing I decided to give it a try and for me it sort of makes up for the lack of romance we didn't get in Arsenal Military academy haha. ohhhh I think u should start with Arsenal first and then watch The Legends looool bcuz I heard Arsenal had 90 mins of romance but they cut those scenes out due to censorship and wanted the drama to focus more about patriotism. You can also find the deleted scenes on youtube btw. But yea that's just what I'd suggest but feel free to watch any first they're both great imo~ I'm also doing a XuKai marathon LOL π
There is going to be alot more rage buildup in regards to Wu Huan. You have to hang in there until the end of…
yea...they're alive but did get their punishment and was banished forever. No more immortal status, power & people to help them. I want to say more but I'll keep it at that so I don't spoil it further

I remember in one of the scenes Bai Jue told Tianqi to stop wasting time and to get his full power back so that when the next Tribulation of chaos comes it'd be his turn (after Bai Jue). But if in the novel it's a different explanation I'm glad to know that the tribulation is over and no one has to sacrifice again.
Xu Kai is the chinese actor i anticipated the most bc i've been hearing lots of good stuff before i even watched…
I can totally relate to you! I also fell for Xukai after watching him in Arsenal Military Academy, then I watched ALP. It was the best decision ever to follow his work he became one of my fav chinese actors too!!
You should def start on The Legends I'm planning on watching that one too after I finish FIYS haha and imo it's def worth seeing more of XuKai bcuz his acting or even character portrayal in dramas won't disappoint you! A very versatile actor I must say! ^^
Ohh nice!! Before was 8.5 now 8.6!!! This drama deserves a higher rating than AOL imo lol. Hope it can increase…
I can't wait for the day it actually hits 8.9 or 9.0 π But yes hopefully more people will rate after watching, ALP holds such a deep place as a xianxia drama in my heart <3
LAR is def on my watch list haha I'm just watching Xukai's other drama FIYS atm. I also heard good things from LAR so I'll eventually get to it haha Yes you should I'm sure you will end up liking it like most of us here~ This drama and the love of the cp was so pure and painful but beautiful at the same time. That's why I said angst but in a good way ^^
oh damn rly? I plan to watch LAR...thx for the heads up...but in ALP it not gonna make u this angry bcuz you will come to understand the reason behind the ML actions. Like it's angst but in a good way. Also def not like AOL too if u watched that one. so far majority of people has said ALP surpassed every xianxia dramas like AOL, ELOD, LAR, TMOPB, LAD lol
