Added 11 on my ptw, hope they're all good! didn't realize it was 6th season of Wakako Zake, I haven't started the 2nd haha. Thank you both for these updates!
Love the cast, they're all iconic. Masaki is a good choice. He really can act well and not just a pretty face. I thought it was Sakura Ando herself for the villain, had to read it again haha, but both have the vibe for it. As for the concept, it's fitting that the country has quite numbers of mythical creatures to cover. Great article!
Btw, this reminds me of the time you shared to us the Vimeo screener of One Cut of the Dead: Hollywood, even if you'll be busted if the distributor found out that you gave the password.
First half was really funny and has good pacing. There were slanted shots/tilted angles for effect, added to the sepia/golden reddish tone. The body switching reminds me of Kimi no Na wa, only this is funnier. Second half turned sad without much focus on physical pain but on their relation to the people around them. The vibe became sentimental as the support characters helped the leads, and the music was played. Acting was good especially Renbutsu, she nailed the expressions and gestures of a boy, while Morita has an amusing girly look that complement with her when they were on screen together.
Depicts the troubles FL goes through in situations that shake her life up. From living alone, to meeting new people, to dealing with old friend, and catching up with family. First half was a typical encounter turned dating and confrontations. Second half started light as Chisho decided to let go, followed by a fun double date. However, things went dark after these. I really like the second half as there comes more drama. Kyoko was creepy as heck particularly that scene when she laid the nighties in the bed. I don't get why she decided to continue the affair. As long as things are clear from the man's side then, they can be free. Shintani's reveal was sad, but he's still vague and sneak. I didn't feel his confession. It might seem long overdue, but I'm glad it was late coz both of them need to sort things first. Miho is a well-written character. It's just how one can be (at her age, in her circumstances and beliefs), or supposed to be - in time a person learned to handle things maturely. Scenes I like are mostly from the finale, and Miho-Kyoko basement confrontation at ep. 8. Overall, the sentiments are as real as it gets. Relatable, one way or another. Main actress delivered her lines effectively, and support actors are good as well.
Hi! I noticed there's another featured list on the page of Jounetsu Tairiku so I came across this one. If you want to check out or haven't seen Maeda Atsuko episode, it was uploaded on yt in 2 parts: https://youtu.be/YSjgizgIlRA https://youtu.be/cXtOVh8tmWA
