I'm on episode 10 now and seriously the mom is the bad one here, Ke Lei did nothing wrong and everyone is mad at him and not Xiao Mi's mom. This makes me mad, it's like When the Camellia Blooms all over again.
The movie was pretty boring, I saw it when it came out in theaters and almost fell asleep. It was just a way for them to cast all popular actors in one movie. It looks like the drama is more of the same.
I just got done with episode 11 now and it just keeps getting more and more ridiculous, and the kids keep getting dumber. So little of this episode made sense.
These kids are like those characters in horror movies who run towards the killer, the ones who are so dumb they deserve to be killed.
You're not wrong. I'm on ep 5 now and she hasn't changed. She's always walking super slowly and deep in thought, but can't seem to get her thoughts out. Good thing I'm not watching this for her, or I'd have dropped it already.
Nothing against the actress, I saw her in Temperature 19 and she wasn't bad.
I'm on the first episode, and this girl is annoying me. Does her personality get better throughout the series? She's so meek and can't get her words out
One thing I really didn't like about the drama was the camera work/directing. Not every shot has to be facing the speaker head-on, but this drama is 90% that. Whenever one of them is speaking, there are no side shots of the interaction, it's always the camera pointing at their face. This style is odd, not the best camera work for a drama.
Ep 14 - I don't normally call women home wreckers when they have affairs with married men, because they're not the ones who cheated on the guy's wife. The married men usually know what they're doing, and are to blame for cheating on their wives. In this case, that bitch a homewrecker.
Seriously, an intern being this devious? He's right she doesn't belong in this company, her attention isn't on work itself but on this stuff.
Regarding Feng Xi's mistake, it definitely is her own fault, and not that of her boyfriend who broke up with her. He's scum, and good riddance, but it was her responsibility. Although tbh it's the chef's responsibility too, he shouldn't have trusted anyone else with his job. I'm not liking the way he screamed at her.
I swear I thought he was goin' to start singing Sia's "Chandelier"🤣🤣🤣I mean was he gettin' dubbed later…
Seriously agree, not just the bf and husband, but the guys they meet with to hire for various work around the restaurant, they're warned about doing business with women, especially 'a group of women'. It's like the women were lepers.
Episode 7 - Han Kyung appears! He does exist! Although he looks different these days
I'm beginning to hate Xiao Yu's Norway friend. She's supposed to be her ex-roomie and friend, but doesn't discuss with Xiao Yu before giving her ex-fiance her whereabouts. If he was abusive, I'd seriously fear for Xiao Yu's safety.
Also, does this writer hate women? Never have I seen an episode with so many barbs and quips against women and the dangers of working with them. I know this drama is female centered and about these women striving to overcome stereotypes but this episode annoyed me a lot.
The Huang Bo cameo in Episode 4 was gold. I laughed so hard, it's the funniest part of the show so far for me.
Other than that, it's kind of slow moving. Good thing each episode is fairly short, and there's only 30 episodes. Finally in ep 5 we have some movement on the bistro, and we have one potential couple.
Han Kyung is no where to be seen yet though, eagerly awaiting his appearance.
I really like this actor and his calm way of speaking. I recently watched You Are My Hero, The Rebel, and now I'm watching him in Crossroads Bistro. I hope he gets a lead role soon
Watched 2 episodes and am enjoying this so far. It's a bit slow though, this is not the type of drama that has plot advancement very quickly. It's more character based, and learning about their stories and interactions with each other. This has a similar feel as My Best Friend's Story, it's a similar type of drama. Now I'm just noticing it's got the same producer so it makes sense.
This is seriously an all-star cast. I was super surprised to see Feng Xiao Gang as the director, this is not his normal type of work. But because he's such a big name, he's able to get some veteran actors like Liu Xiao Qing (the granny), and a lot of A-list actors for cameos.

This cast is stellar but 55 episodes is a lot for this plot.
