I'm confused, sometimes amused, and often annoyed, but I stay for Seung Gi. It's really weird, and extremely silly, and I still don't know what to make of it halfway through it.
I was just thinking of dropping it, but then the end of episode 10 happened. lol!
Dropped at episode 4, can't watch further. Boring, slow paced, confusing. Just a mess.
For this drama you have to pay attention to what's going on in the beginning episodes in order to get the payoff of all the intense drama and betrayal later on. It's also all about getting to know poker faced Pil Joo.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think Madam X was just the agency head working with interpol to investigate the shady people involved in the company (in Korea and abroad). They knew Min Kyu's parents were murdered, but couldn't prove it, so they were just investigating that whole time. That's why they told him not to sign anything. They aren't allowed to get involved directly so used the pseudonym instead to stay in contact.
I don't know how people are going to rate this. The directing and writing is pretty awful when I look at the show…
I actually think the writing and directing is good and it's the premise that's stupid. It's pretty predictable as far as where the story will lead, but that doesn't matter. It's so entertaining and fun to watch that I was instantly addicted. I think that's more than just the cast, even though I agree that they are all very talented. Everything is played up to be super cute, and manages to do that without being too much. I think that's a skill other dramas try for and fail at.
Was anyone else dying when Kang Pil Joo was unconscious for half an episode ... the story really drags when I…
The ending of episode 16 was so awesome that I'm now depressed that I have to wait a whole damn week!
I agree about Boo Cheon. His intensity during the apple scene was so good, but his expression when closing the hotel room door was epic!!!
I'm getting impatient with Mo Hyun slowly putting the pieces together, but that just adds to the suspense. I also want her to start making Pil Joo babies already! lol!
And yes, Pil Joo is needed to drive the story. When he was knocked out during episode 15 the difference was drastic. Jang Hyuk is perfection in this role!
Yeah, the synopsis isn't helpful. It's really about a messed up family and all of the secrets, betrayals, and power…
Yes, It's more complicated than frustrating. There's no frustrating third wheel keeping the main couple apart scenario. It's more about how complicated feelings and relationships can get, especially when the people involved are imperfect.
I dont really get the synopsis. What other drama(s) would you compare this one to? What kind of love story is…
Yeah, the synopsis isn't helpful.
It's really about a messed up family and all of the secrets, betrayals, and power struggles involved.
Like in the poster, Jang Hyuk's role is a manipulator/puppet master. He's the hero, but not all good, and not all bad. The story revolves around why and how he is involved with this family (I'm trying to be as vague as possible, because the suspense drives this drama)
As for the romance, it's not straightforward. It's more interesting and complicated than a couple having chemistry and falling for each other. There are intense relationship triangles more than cute romantic moments. Again, I don't want to give anything away, but I hope that gives a better idea of what to expect.
Ok, the novelty is starting to fade with this one. It seems like the episodes are getting longer, and more random. Maybe it's because the main couple is boring to me. Yes, even at the end of episode 9. I'm still a little amused by Sharon and Baek Hee, but I gave up on their story becoming more interesting. I'm actually hoping Sharon becomes more evil, because just making people custom outfits is a pretty lame way to seek a centuries old revenge.
I'm not sure I'm gonna make it through episode 10.
I just rewatched it, and although I still agree with my review, I liked watching the beginning much more the second time around. Knowing what would inevitably happen made it even better. Soooo I have to raise my score.

That's my thought at least.

It's hard for me to think of a comparable drama.
I'm not sure I'm gonna make it through episode 10.
I also still wish there was a sequel.
