For Bon Hee, I'm pretty sure she's 34+ because going off of the clue we saw in the secret room, if she was a teenager in the early 2000s, she'd be born in the later half of 1980s and early 1990s. The picture we were shown is from 2004 as the show clarified so even if we go with the lower end of teenage years and suppose that she's 14 in the picture (she looks to be about 17 to me) we can be sure that she'd be about 34-35 now, depending on her birthday.

If I were to make a guess on what the female contestant's ages and careers are off of first impressions and my personal inkling, it would be:

Ji Won - (eldest) 37 (She gives me yoga instructor vibes. Like a job that requires her to be physically strong. I can also see her doing water sports and being an instructor for such. Her bright and bubbly personality has me thinking of her in instructional roles only lol. She's also louder than the average Korean woman so it makes me think of her as a coach of sorts. But yeah, sports related?)

Ye Eun - 33 (A dancer of sorts? That foam roller is nudging me in that direction. Ballet? Or Classical Korean?)

Yeong Kyeong - 34 (I genuinely don't know with her. She could be a flight attendant judging from how softly she talks but is also quick-witted. She could also be a jewelry shop owner. Man, idk 😭)

Bon Hee - 32 (Hobby is photography. She seems like she could be a hairstylist? Like she'd own a salon or be into fashion a bit.)

BUT, since they said that the biggest age gap in the pairings is 12 years, I would have to reconsider my whole list. Supposing that the youngest guy is 23, the oldest woman can't be older than 35 to make that 12 year age gap work. So...

Ji Won - (eldest) 35
Ye Eun - 31
Yeong Kyeong - 32
Bon Hee - 34

SCREAMINGGGGG

Okay, so this episode made me love Bon Hee and Mu Jin sooooo much more, they are so adorable πŸ˜πŸ’˜
I loved how Mu Jin took Bon Hee down an almost "memory lane" and refreshed her experiences from her younger days. The public transport was such a nice switch up, it's so much more exciting & thrilling, in a way, compared to the monotonous driving Bon Hee's probably subjected to on the daily (travelling to work and back). Her high school days and freshly employed times must've felt closer in that moment. They had a nice meaningful conversation during that time too and it was only made possible cause one of them didn't have to keep their eyes glued to the road. Also, the stolen pictures, handkerchief and fan were so cute sdkjfsk

I absolutely adore how their vibes match so wellβ€”they're both cheerful, their conversations are colorful (there's such familiarity and comfort in how they talk with eo and bounce off of each others comments for that satisfying tiki-taka) and they're so considerate and thoughtful of each otherβ€”they make my heart flutter in every scene πŸ₯Ί

And the second part of their date at the bbq restaurant just gave me such big nostalgia on Bon Hee's behalf cause she must've now gotten accustomed to visiting fine-dining restaurants as compared to these roadside cozy restaurants that are more chill and free-spirited. I could almost imagine her reminiscing about having frequented these types of places during her younger days like night outs with college friends, company dinners and a quick lunch here when you're broke. So glad that Bon Hee visibly looked like she was enjoying the date Mu Jin had planned with how her energy levels were up the whole day <3

Mu Jin, you are one charming mfer.

From just watching the trailer, I can already tell that this movie is going to change my life and my world-view. I will be a changed person after this...

As an asian that was born left-handed and was forced to use my right hand instead (who now functions as an ambidextrous) this is going to end up being quite relatable and hit close to home. can't wait to watch it πŸ₯Ή

The whole sequence of Reina realizing just how stupid she was, falling right into the trap Misa set for her πŸ”₯πŸ”₯
"Thank you for picking up the trash I threw away," was waiting just for this absolute banger of a line to drop the whole series, and it did not disappoint. Reina burning in her own misery lol

I really want to know that better things you have for recommendation to others.
Yay, so glad you were able to watch the other ones! They're all so good 😭
I looked at some of the premises for on-going series but most of them did not interest me, and the budget looked pretty low too :(

The only two Bls I'm eagerly waiting on for as of now are Cha Hakyeon's 'The Killer Next Door,' and Taecyeon's 'Soul Mate.'

I checked my watchlist, and Wandee Goodday, Dangerous Romance, Jack & Joker, Last Twilight, Fish Upon the Sky, My Love-Mix Up are all decent watches. They're pretty cute and enjoyable for the most part. You should check them out if you haven't already!

Also, Triage is another drama I really liked. It's very well fleshed-out and the plot is super interesting! I remember not being able to move on for a few days after finishing it πŸ₯Ή

But yeah, those were the Thai Bls I watched. If u want more recs for Korean ones or Taiwanese ones, don't hesitate to hmu! I haven't seen that many japanese ones sadly but there's still a few I did check out.

Surprised that not a single one of them called the psych wards on Min with all his crazy talk & very out of place & ill-timed monologues 😭

Like dude was going around acting insane, lashing out at everybody within a 50 meter radius and you're telling me they just rolled with it πŸ’€

Bruh, I haven't been watching that many recently so I'll list some of the older ones.
'I Told Sunset About You' for instance is an absolute favorite of mine.
'Tale of A Thousand Stars' is beautiful.
'I Feel You Linger in The Air' is so cathartic.
'Love in The Air' was fun even though it had it's own flaws.
'Bad Buddy' still has me stuck on the rooftop.
'Just Friends' was messy af but at least it was entertaining & not cringey.

I'm sure there are more but these were the ones I could think of, off the top of my head. The only on-going Bl I'm watching rn is 'Trapped in Osaka.' It's on yt. It's fairly decent with it's plot & acting, & is gripping enough to make you want to keep watching.

wtf, this is better than most BL shows coming out recently... at least it's not flat and boring
To add, I was referring to the MC's outlashing & very out of place monologues (that he droned on about OUT LOUD) every time he met someone from his future. It's quite unrealistic and I could think of so many other ways the scenes could've been approached or handled to emphasize his distraught state without doing all *that* 😭

Like by the way he was acting, any rational character would've called the psych ward on him by now, I'm sorry πŸ’€

lmao, as if I'd be jobless AND bored enough to do all that for a show I didn't even watch 😭
Fyi, I don't go around leaving bad reviews here on mdl, heck I don't even have the time to watch that many shows nowadays, so what you're saying is absolutely baseless and dare I say, wrong.

This is just my opinion. I've seen better and my taste has gotten accustomed to watching shows that *aren't* half-assed so I just wanted to leave my review out there & save even a single person's time who's debating whether to start it or not.
In no way am I here to shit on this bl or the ppl watching it, you guys watch what you enjoy, but the things I listed above are just *my* personal standards & how I determine whether something is worth my time or not.

Wouldn't know about how credible that claim is (I haven't been watching many bls recently, if any tbh) but if that really is the case, then omg, what happened? 😭
We were living so good up until 4 minutes πŸ₯²

This show's poster & aesthetic was the only one appealing enough to me to make me want to check it out (albeit on a whim) but I'm disappointed to say the least.
Even though the story is somewhat interesting, the problem lies in its execution (which is a big thing for me cause writing is literally my hobby 😭)

Oh well, hope we get better shows soon.

What a complete disaster of a show...
The dialogues are shit, the acting is terrible and so so awkward that it makes you physically flinch. There were so many opportunities to make things nuanced and bring out the full potential in each scene but it felt as if they'd all been dealt with a sort of carelessness that bordered on hatredβ€”for the story. Like what were the screenwriters, directors and actors even thinking passing such amateur cuts as ok 😭😭
Not to mention how the timeline, pacing, plot, character personalities as well as the thought process behind the MC's motives is all over the place with no proper flow or consistency. I couldn't stand it 😭
The only merit they have atp is that they have good production, and a pleasing aesthetic.

Would've been a good show if the execution wasn't terrible.
A cringe-fest as of now tho.

Wouldn't recommend, there's better things out there to watch.

Same, sis
Yeah...it's depressing as hell, definitely a melodrama
I watched like 6 episodes because the exam stress was making me crumble but now that those are over, I haven't picked it up again yet cause it's so sad and SLOW 😭
Nothing much really happens, it's very much just character driven - it's the type of drama you pick up when you want to seek comfort and peace in knowing that life isn't going all that smoothly for others either. A bit sadistic, but it heals. I hope you feel at least a little better after watching it!
