Loving this - couple look great together and their chemistry is good! Hoping the Prime minister male friend doesn't become the biggest villain after going off the deep end because he can't get the FL...
NOW THIS is an adaptation - recreating the plot faithfully instead using the characters' names and going off the deep end into a new story! Can't wait for the war plot to start properly!
The cast was great - their acting was impecable . The main leads were so interesting to watch and almost everyone was trying to use their insecurities and weaknesses to manipulate them into the outcome they wanted but they stayed strong and protected each other. The ending was perfect - they manage to avoid the mistakes of the previous generation and are able to move into the future as equals as they wanted and were trying to do the whole time.
SO GOOD!!! Cant's wait for the next episodes! The changes from the novel blend perfectly into the new medium. The fighting scenes are captivating and fun to watch - I watch almost every one at least twice. The chemistry between the leads is amazing and their portrayal of the characters is exactly on point!

What makes a 'bad man'? It is his actions, just saying "I didn't mean for this to happen, etc." doesn't actually excuse what he did. At least if he was bad on purpose it would be more understandable. But because he constantly makes decisions without understanding the situation and consequences, hurting her when he supposedly loves her doesn't make him a good man. It is almost more detestable because he is destroying her but being "it's not my fault, I didn't know".
Great acting of the whole cast! I also loved that women could band together and fight the real villain instead of squabbling between each other while the mastermind is relaxing behind, which has always been patriarchy's strategy so women don't fight for their place at the table but for some crumbs of poison on the ground.
In the early episodes, I thought Sang Yan loved Yi Fan more than she did. But I couldn’t have been more wrong.…
She also has terrible trauma that all the people she loves leave her either voluntarily or involuntarily so she cannot let herself love and be loved due to fear it will be gone again. Hope she ditches her toxic family and heals her trauma, or at least start the path of healing.
Really shows that hot guy is not hot by being a red flag. And being a green flag is not boring. So tired of the whole "toxic guy needs the 'right' woman to fix him" only pushes people into toxic relationships and doesn't happen in real life (being "fixed" by the 'right' woman).
These toxic family members are so draining. Not doing anything when she needed them as a child and even abusing her but now her life is established - they come out of the woodwork "wanting to take care of her [her mother]" - just crazy. And the junior intern... what is he expecting to happen, really shows harassment can happen by anybody and in any circumstance. He is only "annoying" and not 'scary' because of his bubbly personality and he is not much bigger than the FL. But showing up at her home...going into stalking.
So is it worth it? I am really fan of the novel and give high expectations..but i am skeptical to start the drama…
I watched it because the of the ML actor but the drama is an overall watered down version of the novel... If watched as a stand alone it's not too back but compared to the novel...
