I’ve not even finished ep 6 yet but omds 😭 park bogum’s scenes - steelheart collapsing & “a father’s weeping drowned out the sound of the waves” wow! he’s too good, PBG is now my favourite actor
Usually when I watch something sad that hits hard, the best that I can get is when my eyes get teary as I try…
was literally going to write a comment about his acting!!!! I very rarely even tear up at dramas but damn, his scenes hit my heart - steelheart collapsing & that line “a father’s weeping drowned out the sound of the waves” 😭
seeing the way he’s treated other celeb minors in the past - it’s really creepy. & there must’ve been people in the industry who knew? there probably are other people in the industry like him, I hope they all get exposed
I want to hit Wanghe hard, he is so dump most of the time, he is losing points 🤦🏻♀️ he is being just…
tbf to wanghe, he’s still only a young teen. he barely has any life experience & the biggest problem he’s faced his family’s financial situation so it makes sense that he’s becoming more career-focussed esp after seeing his mum struggle w adjusting to a new job & his dad unemployed.
he can’t exactly clear things w the girls bc he doesn’t know what’s going on. Siyi never expressed her feelings for him. Fenghua confessed once but I doubt he realised she was being serious
SiYi is wise beyond her years, wiser than a lot of people chasing success and forgetting the most precious things…
she’s v mature for her yrs & part of that’s defo bc of her mum treating her so horribly at a young age. I think that experience of being abandoned caused her to really treasure those who value her (esp her grandma). the other kids haven’t faced that. the biggest issue they’ve seen is probably finance so that’s why they behave more like their age
wow wanghe’s mum is 1 of the strongest women I’ve ever seen in a drama. the way she negotiated with that twat of a photographer in ep 17 was v cool, I really love her character
how I read that situation: she barely there for him and the family. no point in hanging on to someone who wants…
exactly! but it’s hard when it’s someone who’s meant to be the closest person to you & I found it more impressive he displayed that maturity at a young age
I started this bc of LJH & wow I’m surprised how much I’m enjoying it so far considering it’s not a genre I’m usually into. LJH’s pulled off this hair so well & his acting never disappoints. The newer actors were great too! Especially Jinsu’s actor, his character is so cute & I didn’t expect him to be so young. The only fault I can point out is the music, it’s a bit ridiculously dramatic sometimes - to the point where instead of adding to the scenes, it really stands out, taking away my focus
fenghua’s dad disappointed me 😞 he really prioritised his “filial piety” over his family. the way that old hag treated her granddaughter & daughter-in-law was disgusting!
