This was a great series, full of chemistry and good actors, but it really is sad that the ship is done π I dunno all the details, because one company is making the other look dirty, but I feel sorry for SmartBoom. This would have been their opportunity to expand their careers, make brand deals etc. Thank you to the cast and staff who made this series happen. I can only wish them the best from now on πβ€οΈ
I remember there was some news about a Japanese remake over a year ago but nothing after that, so I lost hope lol As a huge fan of the original series, I will definitely give this a go! The trailer seems good and of course I am expecting some changes here and there, due to the Japanese setting. Just keep the homoerotic tension between then two MLs and we good π
I could only find this article after I went to the "Knock Off" TV series page and someone said you can find it "hidden". Very good MDL, as always. Whoever owns this website, doesn't allow BL/GL articles too, so I'm not really surprised you are trying to bury this.
On the topic: he is an awful, despicable human that only deserves jail time. SK really needs to address bullying, sexual crimes and media harassment. I don't know how they will change this but it seems they have a big societal/cultural issue despite their economic growth.
May justice prevail and lights up, even a little, KSR's tortured soul...
I didn't expect to love this so much, omg π I watched all the episodes in less than a week, it is THAT GOOD! It combines both BL and thriller/horror, which is *chef kiss* for me.
I will read the novel now, because I need them to be cute boyfriends with each other hehe β€οΈ
It's not a groundbreaking story, nor anything fresh but the simple way of telling a story and letting your characters develop so naturally, can become an outstanding piece of art!
You can definitely see all the hard work the staff and crew put into this series. LYNK seem like a nice boygroup and they worked well in this, even If I don't follow them, I wish them success in the future π
Now, on WilliamEst... What can I say, just pure chemistry and love! I'm sure we are going to see them again in the future but I will miss them β€οΈ
Episode 16 was a bit confusing at times ( I had to go back and rewatch although maybe the subs are at fault?) but I truly enjoyed the series!
It's not my first time watching a story about the brutal school competition in SK but I enjoyed the all girls environment and of course the relationship of our two protagonists β€οΈ I would of have liked a kiss, maybe, but I get the plot at the end was leaning towards more as a catharsis for both than a make out lol
9/10, the chemistry between Hyeri and Subin was great!
My heart goes out to the victim. I hope she can find support and peace with her loved ones, and the strength to move forward β€οΈ
As for him: I support the "innocent until guilty" but the way his company dropped him so fast, all the events cancelled and his Instagram was deleted, are good indicators of what happened. Junsei's post is sad, I feel for him, but I know he will keep going
For the fans who say to separate the art from the artist: it is not an easy task and I usually say this for minor things eg a career change, but for something so serious, it's not possible. If he is guilty, it can sour the experience. You can still enjoy the series but If some people decide that it is not possible for them, let's respect that.
Judging by the reactions online and the spoilers I saw, I am not watching this until they announce a season 2. Sorry guys, I love my gay happy endings π€·
The idol/actor industry in Thailand/SK is pitiful. I do not know how it is in other Asian countries, but it's sad to see young people not experience life because of the way the industry is built.
Yes, they made a choice when they signed these contracts (do they have a clause of no-dating?) but even so, they are humans and they can fall in love If they want to. The real enemy here is the fan culture that these industries built. Grown-a$$ women like Baifern broke down because their bias decided to date π₯΄ Stand up girl! I do not want to talk about the relief and happy atmosphere when Pepper said he was not seeing someone, it's in the past... Disgusting.
Pemika is only thinking about the profits. She is manipulating the members and Po in order to get what she wants. She was right in some things but how can you trust her again as your boss?? She can throw you under the bus to make 1TBH more (exaggeration but you get what I mean). Yes, you need to think the good of the company but not lie and manipulate your staff. These are people with dreams and they want to succeed sure, but they are also human beings that you take advantage of.
But she was right about Thame: he is hiding the truth from his friends and Po. If he had communicated with the other members before about the whole thing (debts) and told Po about the photos before Pemika, a lot of drama would have been avoided but alas we need some drama lol I really feel for him but I think this is a good life lesson: your dreams come at a cost but don't let anyone take advantage of you, be honest! I'm sure he will get stronger now and can hold himself better against people like Pemika.
My dear Po... Even If I have never been in your position, I understand why you did what you had to to. It's terrible and you finally found out how it feels to leave someone behind, but you did not do it for your own benefit. If someone like Gam, who has been in the industry longer than you, dated an idol for a longer time than you know Thame and has an A confidence, can break down under the pressure, of course you stand no chance. I do not think I would be able to do this. But I'm sure the pain you are feeling now will help you become a better version of yourself.
I did not expect to like this series so much, it was not even in my radar!
There is no way they gave us this kind of ending after Thailand legalized same-sex marriage and with that trailer lmao ππ I hope it's not true and it is instead some stupid, marketing "strategy" PLEASE
As a big fan of the Japanese adaption, I can say that I really enjoyed this! Maybe not as much as the JPN one but it was definitely cute, made me feel like a marshmallow haha I also liked the office atmosphere and the slow, developing romance of Pai and Rock. Very good series and adaption π
I was hesitated to start this because of the name... Yeah, I'm not joking lmao
Anyways, it was a fun watch and my first time watching Yinwar, so I enjoyed it. Of course, there is criticism to be hold about some aspects of the series (security issues, drama development, cheap props etc) but probably because I'm not that critical so much anymore, I did not mind these as much and just enjoyed the ride.
I really liked the relationship development between Jack and Joke; they both changed individually and as a pair. Of course Joke's character had a better focus and change, but I think that's what made the relationship shine so much. I will watch the special episode for sure!!
hot take: if this show wasn't yinwar and was just 2 random actors ya'll would not have liked it this much. The…
It's my first time watching Yinwar and while I understand some of the criticism, I did enjoy it more than I thought.
Also, even if people liked it because of yinwar, is this an issue? I mean people spend ridiculous amounts of money for singers, bands, authors etc that I think they are not that good but If people enjoy them, I think that's fine. To each their own...
I finally watched the last 4 episodes... I am definitely gonna miss this, it was so beautiful and refreshing, yet so melancholic at times. But that's youth for you. Lots of changes, challenges and new feelings. I loved the series, it's so precious and I'm really REALLY hoping that we get a season 2 β€οΈ Thank you to all the staff, on screen and behind the screen, that made this happen!! And of course, to all the fans who support this work, let's have a season 2 announcement soon π
In my opinion, Ming just did not put 2+2 together about Tong and was shocked to find out.The back thing makes…
I understand what you mean. For better or worse, that's how he is written
I find him interesting, I'm enjoying him a lot but I try not to think too hard about why he does or says that; he is obsessed, possessive, jealous, selfish and pityful. He is not everyone's cup of tea and that's fine. I just enjoy my red flags π
Yup, that's Lee Dong Sik my beloved. I'm totally in love with Beyond Evil π hello hello
You should see my face whenever Ming was doing or saying something to Joe... I haven't seen a crazy b*tch like him in a while π And yes, seated of course!
Thatβs a very interesting and quality series but I really do not get how to feel βawwwβ at that moment everyone…
In my opinion, Ming just did not put 2+2 together about Tong and was shocked to find out.
The back thing makes sense: he crushed on Tong and that fight scene was what made him popular. Of course, a teenager could have their gay awakening by watching a good looking man fight shirtless. Nothing new or revolutionary.
Also, Ming's obsession and possessiveness don't directly translate to love. Sure he can love, but his kind of love is twisted and mean. Do not try to make sense out of someone like that, you will lose your mind (talking from personal experience as well).
All in all, the back thing is a plot device to show us that Ming had tunnel vision about Tong and when he realized it was Joe all along, it was a wake up call for him in many ways. It doesn't have to be an epic love story of something; it was for both characters and viewers to realize that, sometimes things are in front of our eyes and we don't want to see them.
As a huge fan of the original series, I will definitely give this a go! The trailer seems good and of course I am expecting some changes here and there, due to the Japanese setting. Just keep the homoerotic tension between then two MLs and we good π
