I don't think it's about being desperate. When the bead turned blue for the first time, ML wasn't desperate. Anyway, the plot does not convince me anymore. I don't understand, what ML is trying to achive. He talks about finding a way to solve the problem, but he does nothing and has no plan.

One of the advantages of this drama is a rare example of a deep friendship between a man and a woman without a romantic context. I like it very much.

Park Jae Eon reminds me of ML from The Smile Has Left Your Eyes. But in that drama FL saw through him and didn't fall from him right away. She was smarter and more mature.

That's what I was thinking when I watched episode 10. She is really strong FL. She is not agressive but active, wise and impactful. At the same time, she is still empathetic and caring.
Sometimes I get the impression that in Western movies "strong" women simply pretend to be men. It's as if a woman couldn't be strong while retaining her femininity.
