I can't tell which part you're in now because Xue Zhi has been pissed a lot lately, lol.
LOL That might be true but I'm hoping they'd come out of this stronger as a couple after resolving this issue. Also, here's to hoping their reconciliation will be so sweet I'd forget all about the torments I have suffered for the past 2 weeks.
I agree with you on Xue Zhi's transformation and everyone (in the drama) can see it as well. Now she's superior…
I totally agree with you. Although if Tou had shown more persistence, like that one time he waited the whole night for her only to leave just before she came out, maybe this wouldn't have dragged on for as long as it has.
I don't want him to fall off the cliff, yet. I want them to resolve this misunderstanding like a proper couple and give me more sweet stuff.
Oof, Leo's perfomance in episode 28 had me hurting real good, I was a crying mess. That flashbacks of their moments together and him saying goodbye in his heart, that voice does it for me too, ugh, swoony voice. I cried like crazy when he cradled her in his arms like she was about to break. I actually want more of this, haha.
I can't tell which part you're in now because Xue Zhi has been pissed a lot lately, lol.
Hmm, I didn't think of that, now I'm not sure if there were multiple sessions in the pool. I was assuming it was that one time. But you might be right. If they have a couple sessions of that, that'd explain why they became intimate later.
I read a couple of chapters that's mostly focused on the OTP, and I thought it was rather...hmm...convoluted? Plus they were both too headstrong and proud, and my problem with them was they didn't talk much, haha. They mostly kept everything in, hence, lots of misunderstanding that led to unnecessary dramas.
I don't see mindless chatters in this drama, every conversation reveals something about someone. Although I am a little frustrated that the separation stretches this long.
Why they write her chracter as naive in every damn drama. Always get into trouble and everyone rescure here. Now…
I don't think Xue Zhi is being naive right now as she did in the beginning. She was lured into the enemy's territory by the people she cared about, even the most level-headed person would make the same move (i.e. Tou). Also, her little defiance against Lord Lu is not impulsive or unwarranted. Lord Lu wasn't trying to solve the conflicts between the sects rather suppressing Hall of Flames by claiming they're acting like a fire. From Xue Zhi's pov, Hall of Flames has done nothing but defending themselves and if she submit to them freely, she doesn't worth the title master of Hall of Flames, which I agree. And the fact that she stood up for herself is showing a her backbone as a leader, everyone has been complaining how weak and fragile she was and now that she's growing a backbone, she's suddenly impulsive and brainless? I wonder why this isn't seen as her character maturing?
I can't tell which part you're in now because Xue Zhi has been pissed a lot lately, lol.
For someone who hasn't read the book (I have actually read bits and pieces) and no knowledge to compare, I actually think the story flows well, maybe a little pacing issue for most but I don't have that problem.
I did feel a little disjointed (?) during the pool scene because they came out addressing each other a little intimate and now in a relationship. Did something happened at the pool that we're not let in on? I was under the impression the pool scene only lasted like a few hours, was it days?
It's so funny that we're now relying on Wu Ming to save Tou's life, lol. It's adorable to me how Wu Ming insisted on staying next to Tou after they went back to Moon Valley, this guy is literally a puppy.
I feel like for this drama they only focus on the ML and FL to a point where the side characters all just feel…
Given the many characters and sects there are in this story, I'd say they don't really have much time to focus on the side characters to properly establish them in the story. It seems to me they want to focus more on the romance and the political machinations rather than giving everyone a detailed character, which is fine by me.
The only death that affected me more than I could imagine is Liu Li. She died at the hand of her "leader" after just finding out her mother's death and reuniting with her cousin. I felt like she deserved more than that.
Xue Zhi will definitely regret all these wasted moments not reconciling with Tou when this misunderstanding is…
I have the same hunch too. I feel like it could be a plot between Mu Yuan and Tou in order to get back at Lord Lu because clearly Tou's family will fall off the grace later and Tou essentially has no backup and now a tainted family name. I'm hoping Mu Yuan will forever stay a good guy even if he's slightly misunderstood later.
The past couple episodes felt like a roller coaster, Lord Lu is really intimidating and scary. I can't believe…
It really has been a roller coaster of emotions lately. Lord Lu has this really nuanced wickedness that sometimes I find myself wondering if he's truly evil. I'm truly invested in him right now as opposed to the dreamy crown prince.
And sadly, it feels like it's gonna be awhile till our OTP make up. I saw from Yukee's interview that she had to cry a lot from episodes 18-30 something, meaning nothing is getting resolved until right before the cliff scene.
Man, when Tou handed Xue Zhi over to Mu Yuan so they can return to the Fire Palace was heartbreaking. MY MAN STOOD…
"Man, when Tou handed Xue Zhi over to Mu Yuan so they can return to the Fire Palace was heartbreaking. " And then he asked Wu Ming if it was the right or wrong thing to do by handing over Xue Zhi to Mu Yuan! Ya think?! Why the hell would you sacrifice yourself like an idiot and hide it AGAIN?! UGH!
Mu Yuan is fast becoming a tragic character, losing everyone dear to him and in the end, the love of his life. Kind of a shadow of Run Yu there, though I hope not.
As for kiss, I don't think anyone can top Mark Chao's kiss in eternal love. They could've at least open their mouths a little to make it believable or sizzling! At this point, all I want is a consummation scene, haha.
Ugh, I was an emotional wreck after last night's episodes and couldn't calm down after, I suspect it's only gonna get worst in later episodes. I was a crying mess when Tou flashed back to his sweet and sad moments with Xue Zhi and said, "Zhi Er, farewell." Thank God for Wu Ming! He's now officially my favorite bodyguard in dramaland universe! I think I was emotional in every scene where Tou is reflecting that he couldn't be with Xue Zhi right now even if he wants to, and if she's suffering from the same pain due to the Lotus Sutra's healing power. Man, you're the one hurting now and all you can think of is if she's in pain too? Damnit, you're breaking my heart!
I do think Lord Lu is fast becoming an interesting character. I initially believed he's in it for the throne, but now that it's revealed he has no desire to go against the crown prince and bears no animosity towards him, I'm curious as to what his real motivation is. He seems to love Shang Guan Zheng a lot, and I'd hate to see if that's only a front. However, it will break my heart once she realizes he's been using her to get to Tou and Xue Zhi. I am more and more invested in this plot and his character.
I am also glad that Mu Yuan proves to be an innocent party to the whole scheming behind the martial arts world. I hate it when the second lead gets obsessive to the point of destructive, especially considering how much Mu Yuan loves Xue Zhi. I'm rather conflicted when it comes to Mu Yuan, I want to see him happy, but not at the cost of my OTP. I initially thought the love emoticon on Weibo hints at Xue Zhi and Tou reconciling, but I fear that might be more of Mu Yuan and Xue Zhi. Gah!
Mini rant: AND WHY THE FREAK IS MY OTP ONLY KISSING ONCE FOR 28 DAMN EPISODES?! HOW DO YOU THINK I CAN LAST IF YOU'RE NOT GIVING ME SOMETHING TO HOLD ON TO?
I can't tell which part you're in now because Xue Zhi has been pissed a lot lately, lol.
Actually, he has been trying... just not hard enough. I think they're both being too stubborn in this case. But plotwise, I think things are actually getting interesting than before.
The lotus appears on his arm. He's going to be powerful now, er, maybe after he dies. IDK. :(
Yeah, it's a shame that Tou isn't getting much fighting scene lately, while Mu Yuan is getting all the cool slaying scenes. Tou is more of Sherlock Holmes than Bruce Lee right now and is pretty much useless for a lack of better word.
However, I appreciate the contrast between the two male leads in this scene. Mu Yuan will not hesitate to kill for Xue Zhi's safety and of course isn't afraid to lose his own for her sake, but how many can he kill and how will that protect her in long terms? Tou, on the other hand, is thinking ahead and asks the real question, how will they let go of Xue Zhi? If his life is the answer to the question, he will gladly answer it. Of course, we're not under the delusions that they will really let her go after his death, but he's actively trying to resolve the conflicts rather than just protect her in the moment. Can't say much for his efforts in resolving his and Xue Zhi's misunderstanding though. :/

According to Weibo's hint, it's supposed to be this Sunday's episodes and he's sporting that "fall off the cliff garb" in today's episodes so yeah...
But if we're taking in the calendar's hint, they're supposed to reconcile in episodes 33-34, so he can't be falling off the cliff yet. He's only coming back with a new identity on episode 41-42, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Longer in terms of what? I don't really need a longer scene of Mu Yuan slaying everyone because it'd take away the attention from Tou who was about to sacrifice his life for Xue Zhi. I thought that scene was well done and to the point. I was a crying mess when their moments together flashed by as he prepared himself for death and said, "Farewell, Zhi Er." *cries
