I watched until ep 15 and just watch cuts now because it's a bit of a snoozefest. The chemistry that people see, in my opinion, is being seen through CY and not between him and the FL. The gap in acting skills makes their interactions awkward to watch. But as with all dramas, everyone has their own taste and it's best to test out a few eps to decide for yourself.

This drama is actually filmed in 2013. Even if it has the broadcast certificate it's almost guaranteed not to air (Platforms aren't going to want something that has no value lol)

His agency originally wanted the ML to be someone else, but Youku designated him as the ML due to the success of LAR. I think he would've only done one xianxia if he had a choice.

CY has mentioned several times that he would like to try different roles and genres, and he already has acted in two xianxia dramas so my educated guess is that he won't do them ever again. In my opinion xianxia is all the same nowadays with nothing ground breaking so it would be a waste of his acting skills.
