He's not the only one with popular dramas who didn't show up at the event. Also it would be funny if he went considering this is the platform that contributed to him being mass cyberbullied and slandered (not just in 2025 but in previous years too) lol

1) It's not an obligatory event. If I recall correctly, he has only attended once in 2017.
2) He's busy filming, and and doesn't take time off unless necessary. He doesn't have anything to promote right now so it's even less likely that he would go.

If you're referring to the wording under the seal, "Cheng Yi studio" was used before in a 2023 statement. Whether he is opening his own studio or not will have to be seen later.

They're not similar, but if you enjoyed MLCB there is a good chance you will enjoy this too. I myself prefer this drama since I think the writing/production quality, and overall cast is better.

You are incorrect in saying he/his team was behind the lack of romance in this drama. He filmed kissing scenes for Hero Legends (with this same FL) which filmed right before this drama was filmed, so he will in fact do intimate scenes if it is in line with the role/script.

Sure there is cinematography choices, but if you've seen Cheng Yi's other dramas as you claim then you would know that this is not simply changes in depth of field and shallow focus.

If Cheng Yi or his studio had any say over the production, he wouldn't have edited himself out of half of the drama, blurred his face in post production, or cut to other people when his character is speaking, among other malicious editing. There are many discussions as to why the script fell off and why he barely has screentime, which I won't get into but it is 100% not due to Cheng Yi/his studio. Wang Yixu the producer is also the CEO of the production company, and also well known for messing up his productions like this. The blame should definitely be on him, as he is the boss of the director and screenwriters who work under his company.

Fyi: Wangquan Chapter in the og work is ml-centric. It is about the ml's growth arc, his self-awakening and finding his path. There is romance, but it is not the central point in this chapter, hence the title not being a CP name. The title of the drama is also "Heaven and Earth Sword Heart" in Chinese, so it has nothing to do with the English title. I do agree with the general consensus that it was wrong to label this drama as a romance though.

It's a bit disappointing that it resulted in this, but I know Cheng Yi will never let the audience down. Wish him luck and no more forced dramas in 2025.

As of now, CY still has not confirmed he is filming this drama. Youku announced him back in May without discussing it with him. His side has also refuted it twice, if I recall correctly. Wait for his announcement to see whether he is doing it in the end.

There is no Love and Redemption Season 2. This is an adaptation of a wuxia novel and it's not centered on romance.

The original video was a leaked video. The episodes were cut down and they probably had to change the some of the dialogue - logically it's faster and more convenient to just have it dubbed by a VA instead of having Cheng Yi take time out to re-dub for a five year old drama.

Hi, filming for Fu Shan Hai began in June and it is not confirmed that she was injured in this crew. If you follow Riying, you will see that she has healed well. One of her dramas “Follow your Heart” aired a couple months ago and she looked fine during promo events. As for your last question, she was never officially announced for a role so you can’t exactly say she has been replaced. Also, I don’t think the full cast has been announced yet.

Too early. From my observation, he usually confirms right before he's about to film. As for the drama that Youku announced him for, he hasn't claimed it so it's considered unconfirmed.

I hear the episodes have been cut down to 36? Personally I don't mind since a streamlined story with no filler is better in my opinion. Hopefully that means they can wrap up sooner too!

I think your comment is unnecessary to post here. This drama is about the ML finding his own path, and not strictly romance. If you are familiar with the character he plays here he doesn't cry and spit a ton of blood either.

It's not an issue of the crew, but rather whoever is handling the promo for the blog. The fans aren't expecting an apology, but for the lead to be respected from now on.
