i'm at ep 13, and there is one thing i don't understand yet -- why is dou zhao hiding the fact that she was the girl with the fox mask? that doesn't really expose her identity.
it's pretty good for a high school BL! the acting is solid and there is some pretty good yearning. perhaps too many side-characters that i didn't necessarily care about, but otherwise, it's good! if you don't mind a hs plot, then it's not a bad choice.
i see a lot of complaints about the lack of kissing, and i totally do get that the actors' ages had a play in this, but i wonder why they didn't do a fade-to-black kiss with the camera moving away or one of those angles that only makes it /look/ like a kiss? with sooo many almosts, it would have made sense.
i loved this show! what an emotional rollercoaster that last ep was. made me cry π can't wait to see pavel and pooh in more series, a more serious plot really suits them.
and i have to say, michael and toptep *truly* delivered. these two deserve main roles in their own series for sure.
victor was another perfect casting, he's such an excellent actor and really top tier for more villainous roles.
It seems like I'm in the minority here, but I'm not the biggest fan of Kim and Mon. It's really just a personal preference, but I really dislike insta-love, and I dislike clinginess even more, so it's a double no. But the rest are real cute, especially Shane and Kit, so I'll continue with the series for them!
even since i finished this series, i haven't been able to stop thinking about it, and decided to put my feelings into a post-canon fic. if anyone is interested, you can read it here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/77624151 truly, the ultimate comfort show and characters! πβ€οΈ
such a lovely last episode!! gosh, I'll really miss them, J & Jinn were just the cutest couple -- they communicated so well, and the bond they developed throughout the show was so touching. the show wasn't perfect, but the story was lovely, and the whole cast did such a good job! made me feel an array of emotions. highly recommend if you're on the fence!
reading the comments i am confused, is this good or not??? should i watch? help π
i personally really like it! yes, it has some flaws, but, honestly, it's a very entertaining watch nonetheless. seakeen's dynamic here is great and i like their chemistry. i also really love how they communicate and care about each other, so the main couple has me π₯° as for the flaws -- as some comments do point out, the last few eps are a little repetitive, so there's that. i also don't really like the secondary couple (would have enjoyed the series more w/o it). still, it's one of the nicer shows and i would def not recommend skipping.
Don't hate me but Singha and Thups's relationship, matter of fact, any of the relationships are the least interesting…
no but you have a point. the main relationship is far from the most interesting part of the series. it's tame and a little bland, but they're cute nonetheless. they're both really good people, so it feels they'll make a great, very green flag couple, but yeah... it's not the most exciting part of the story to me either.
this episode was FIRE! truly delivered after such a long break. the plot is intensifiying and the mistery is super intriguing -- has me glued to my seat. such a high-quality BL in terms of plot and production, i cannot praise it enough.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who doesn't like his dental work. Natural teeth, except for very few people…
yeah, i agree. it could be done well, but this is def not one of those cases. it's a lot less charming when it doesn't fit his face/mouth. too bad! he really had teeth most people would dream of and the absolute most amazing smile. can't imagine the pressure they're under to look a certain way if even s/o with such great smile got veneers.
this is a lot funnier than i expected! it's a very enjoyable show. it feels new/unique, and i love all the characters.
(i just wish pond didn't get veneers, it's sooo distracting. they're too chunky for his mouth, and it looks very unnatural. i miss his old smile so much π he already had absolutely perfect teeth)
i love how well they communicate despite everything; the way the conflict was resolved was so good (+ i love that it wasn't dragged out)! sea and keen are fantastic at playing healthy couples. i adore all their pairings so far <3
since i love seakeen here, i watched their other series after, and i have to say this isn't giving as much. i feel like the script is not doing them justice (and isn't getting the best out of them) -- more so sea than keen. i feel like his other roles fit him better, or perhaps the directive was better idk. it's nothing major, and i still like them here, but i can't help but think there is something slightly off here.
(in any case, they're quickly becoming one of my fav pairings, so i can't wait for more series with them!)
