It's not bad, I actually like it, specially because it took its time before the FL and ML got married, which is rare in short dramas where they get married in the first minute, so it was nice seeing them actually having some moments to get to know each other first. I also liked that there was no insufferable cliché of not consummating the marriage on the wedding night, and nothing was forced, and their dynamic after marriage was really good and intimate, very convincing as a couple. And important there isn't that much of that cliché and annoying bullying, so it is a plus for me. Imo the rating is fair
I just finished watching DY, it was the first I watched, and it took me 6 months to finish lol only the first…
After reading you comment, I gave TBOY a chance and I am glad I did, it is such a good cdrama! I really loved everything, the fights are good and the characters are really likable. I also only watched DY because of Neo at first, and later stayed for the Eight Young Masters of Beili and Sikong ChangFeng, but still it was a waste of my time T-T

If it is bad written, it doesn't matter the amount of plot, it can be dragging, which for me is the case of DY. It was the most boring cdrama I had watched till now, it took me days to finish one episode. The only good things were the Eight Young Masters of Beili and Sikong ChangFeng, everything else was pretty meh, and the fights were horrible, just cgi and dramatic poses... the rewritten plotline is the least of the problems in DY.
In the end, I decided to watch TBOY and it was totally worth it, soooo much better. The fights are fun to watch, has more likable characters and better script... I watched everything in a couple of days and really loved it, I will probably read the novel later. Now I really regret having watched DY first, it was such a waste of my time T-T
Now I am half way of BR and enjoying it, imo it is already better than DY.
Unpopular opinion:The people who think DY is much worse than TBOY are the ones that watched TBOY first. If you…
I just finished watching DY, it was the first I watched, and it took me 6 months to finish lol only the first episodes are good, everything else is dragging and there is so much inconsistency in plot and timeline, and the ending was so rushed, unfortunately it was badly written imo. But I endured because people was saying that TBOY is good, and I wanted to watch all in chronological order, and now reading you comment I just don't know any more if it worth continuing watching the series T-T
I see alot of unsatisfactory for Qingtong character. I also felt the same. Did the writer got drunk? But my positive…
I think as same as you! It's not a bad plot if it was written well, definitely the writers could have done a better job with it if they wanted. But no, instead of making things logical and interesting, they decided to drag it as much as possible... what a waste! Overall I am enjoying Fugui's journey as a whole, all his side quest with Yunfei was really enjoyable for me, but it seems the writers didn't put much effort for QingTong's side of the story and forgot her relevance to the plot, even as romantic interest for the ML, which is sad :(
I am quite puzzled by Qing Cheng as a character. I usually can understand characters (even villains) well, but…
They are dragging this side plot too much, I wish they had dealt with him already and got rid of the little black fox. By QC's interactions with Yunfei in the latest episodes it shows that maybe his character would have been better used as a comedic relief than as a generic villain
Oh he’s definitely more than annoying. I can’t stand him. I want to punch him every time he says something.…
I get you! He really deserves getting punched! But for me he is that kinda of villain that is impossible to really take seriously to the point of been stupid and hilarious lol but I guess it's because his character is badly written, I really think they could have done a better job with him. Also, what really annoys me is that they are dragging this side plot too much by making QingTong so unaware of QingCheng's doings when it was really obvious since the beginning and QT is not that stupid to fall for his lies... it seems like the writers didn't make any effort to make QT side quest interesting and logical. For a 36 episodes drama it's a waste imo
I know people don't like Qingchen (he isn't my fav either but he isn't that annoying imo) but damn his interactions with Yunfei is hilarious! I hope QingCheng's punishment after they get rid of the little black fox of him will be get annoyed by Yunfei every minute of his life lol
People talking about the romance, and here am I just happy seeing good fight choreography that actually have some sword and physical contact and not only people making long poses for magic attacks
It is giving me the same vibes of Fangs of Fortune... it has been a fun watch till episode 7 but I can't say yet that I am loving it or not, maybe because I'm still a little confused about the plot, so I will need more episodes to see where it is going... I will let it on hold for now till it has a good amount of episodes to watch in one go
A short and fun watch for a sunday night! I really liked it, but the episodes deserved to be longer for better development in plot and characters, it had so much potential as a longer drama...
