that's a reality for many south asian families though.
our legal system is literally against this. and we dont encourage it either. however we do not appreciate when foreigners use such language towards our mothers or other older people. because in our culture, we have a lot of respect towards them. you should know that since you are literally on an asian drama website lmao. we acknowledge our shortcomings and we as a society are working to eradicate them. but we also dont tolerate people who dont know us, our morals and our culture to talk in such a low manner towards our people.

lmao its quite funny to me that you think you can judge someone or their culture without ever experiencing it. in my country child marriage is illegal but we put a lot of respect over our elders. we are free to marry whoever we want, but also we'll never tell our mothers to stfu. i am not supporting their actions, but dont go around telling people how they should tackle their situations
