100% agree. This was my only real complaint after finishing the first 2 episodes. It's unrealistic and sorta awkward…
tbh? i have seen this theme of insta-love and ML being "too affectionate" and forgetting his boundaries a lot in this writer's work, so not really surprised. just groaning that it's 2020, can we leave behind this trope now please?! and for the personality, true, i agree too. he reminds me A LOT of the personality Hyun Bin had in Secret Garden...
I get that he's been looking for her for 25 years, but man he's persistent. If someone hugged me like that out of the blue, or kept saying thank you for existing, I have your photo etc... I'd be like RED FLAGS RED FLAGS
i've watched till ep 7. till now, kinda intense but isnt focused upon a lot. plus no love triangle related melodrama. and, it's between park saeroyi and the two female leads.
completed ep 5 and i'm confused. everyone i know loved it, but i'm so bored. it's really draggy, nothing is really happening just "oh is he gonna tell now? shit, he missed the timing. oh, maybe he'll tell now. nope, missed it again" i'm frustrated. might drop.
woah the parents are so biased... they shamed the brother the whole while for being with cai minmin. he tried to stop fanxing from telling them about yuan song because they might get hurt, and theyre ANGRY AT HIM AGAIN??? WTF?
(ep 40) can't believe she's giving the whale analogy of how lying to her is like whale eating plastic. ma'am you were the one who suggested to keep your relationship a secret. you were the one who kept introducing the SML as your bf whenever situations got uncomfortable for you. you were the one who kept denying your feelings of jealousy and anger. and now, youre gonna go ahead and say you dont like lying? a little hypocritical, if you ask me.
I actually thought this drama was more realistic in terms of everything else besides the age gap situation. If…
I think your comment is so because you're still on ep 21. till ep 24-25, i didnt find the FL frustrating at all. i understood her decisions and even empathized with them cuz i myself would have taken the same decisions too given the situations. it's the continual of bad decision making and the immaturity she keeps showing for a thirty year old... and the events that would further take place that is making it frustrating for me.
I have seen dramas with frustrating characters. Both Something in the Rain and One Spring Night are my all time favourites in spite of how so many people call these dramas frustrating and hate the FLs in them. I always could understand those characters. but He Fanxing, i can't understand. i would explain what frustrates me, but that'd be a spoiler.
sorry for the long reply, and i hope you keep enjoying the drama :)
this drama is so disappointing tbh. it had such a great concept of a looked down upon 10 year age gap. it could have made it about the struggles and could have commented on society's hypocrisy. but no, it choose to be yet another love triangle with the most irritating second male lead to exist and the dumbest, frustrating female lead to exist. i only feel bad for yuan song, and i like and enjoy the FL's brother's and friends' storylines wayyyyyyyyyyy more
can't believe how we all were so sure that hyunyi is a cross dressing character, and would be revealed to be a biological female. but the show really went on and gave us trans rep! omg! I LOVE THIS!
and for the personality, true, i agree too. he reminds me A LOT of the personality Hyun Bin had in Secret Garden...
other than that it's enjoyable..
i'm frustrated. might drop.
