I hope something is done. When I first started watching lakorns they were easily available as fan channels on Viki, then Viki was bought out and all the fan channels disappeared and all the individual subbers tried setting up youtube, dailymotion etc channels, but it has been harder and harder for them to do so without getting in trouble. Netflix has picked up some, but they are very limited. I don't watch American TV and am really hooked on Asian Shows. I don't mind paying a reasonable monthly fee...I just want reasonably easy access without picking up strange bugs from questionable websites. How spoiled I am now...when I was a girl there was no internet and only 3 stations in Austin,TX....but no matter I WANT IT ALL NOW! lol
I think the telegram post of this lakorn has been taken down. I wish the Thai would get on board and let others sub their shows like on YoYo. That way they could get the youtube credit and we could get legal subs. sigh...
synopsis by : https://www.cdramalove.com/ ummary: The Chinese drama is adapted from a real story and tells the story of the revolutionary experience of many revolutionary workers fighting to protect the red descendants during the Anti-Japanese War in the 1940s when the Party Central Committee established a nursery school in Yan’an. I will admit at times I did not want to like this drama, but I really enjoyed it. It even brought me to tears once. I've never seen these leads before, but will watch for them in the future. This is a gem.
Basically we have a daughter of a rich man who loves a common man who leaves her as he doesn't feel he is good enough for her. Then we have the half sister who mistreats the MF lead because she is jealous. The common man does well and re enters her life. No awards for this one for sure.

I forgot to tell you that I watched sooo many dramas/lakorns originally as I have insomnia on occasion. I don't wish that on you...always develop good sleep habits. I never knew how important that was until I started having issues. At any rate, the internet is pretty much always got something to offer and as I really like seeing "snapshots" into other cultures, the Asian dramas do it for me. I also like how in most of these shows there is a beginning and an end...no clifthangers...just be non renewed for the next season. At least in the TV shows there is not a lot graphic violence or sex. It is often implied but doesn't rub you face in it. I'm a Bodily Injury Specialist Insurance Adjuster so I see, listen and deal with "people crisis's" all day 5 days a week in the real world. I don't need that in my escapism too. I never watch or read something that is for "self improvement" or unhappy endings if I can help it. That is for 9-5. Always try to keep a good balance between work and pleasure, it will keep your stress levels down. That has been my mantra for the last decade. LOL

It didn't break it down per episode, like I would have preferred, but it helped explain the idea. I had seen highlight clips with English subs but never the entire show. Even with those, I didn't realize he brought her home with him as his ward initially. I though he had always planned on her being his mistress.
I just finished it and i am crying rivers! Its pretty much a sad tale...really heavy on the angst.
You are right it is Num and Kob, I don't know why but I sometimes get them confused...Congrats on your birthday. You seem like a nice, thinking type person so I know good things are in your future. I adopted a daughter from Korea, which was my starting point of becoming immersed in Asian cultures. She claims I am much more Asian than she is. She has very little interest, even today, in current Asian culture. She even taught English for two years in Korea for the life experience. She refused to learn the language. She doesn't even like KPOP but is a Country Western Music Fan. GoFigure.
