I think he knows her as Jin A Yin because he hanged out with the scarface guy. That’s what I think it may not be correct. Besides when ML confronted the scarface he said that the one to apologize to is Jin A Yin and I think the specs guy was lurking somewhere and he overheard the conversation.

Maybe he came together with Xiang Qin Yu into 21st century to take revenge for Tao Tao who tried to commit suicide in the Republican era.

Agree with you. When she left the execution site she still wanted to marry LY. It's just she's been having a streak of bad luck from young. It's just too much for a 15 year old to handle. LBY gives her some personal space(in his carriage) to collect her thoughts and make her own decision. I am sure he's torn as well. He wants her for himself but he doesn't want to see her so sad.

Is this worth watching? I am ok with YZ but no big fans of xianxia dramas.

As it was pointed out he was already one step behind Yao (at the cemetery and) in proposing to her so when the 5th prince suggested that he takes her as a concubine, he felt that he had to take drastic measures. The relief was clearly written on his face after she accepted his proposal. If he lets nature takes its course she may not accept and he will miss out yet again.
