2. Lee dong gun is sooo freaking good in this it's unreal. Not for one second did I not feel he was Ha Jin.
3. This is probably the only time I've ever been happy about a man hitting a woman and when he told her to kill herself I was seriously jumping with joy. someone finally said something to an evil second female lead. Thank you writer.
SO mad about the ending!! I literally yelled at the screen and was really tempted to throw my laptop. I hate ambiguous…
i know he is sooo freaking hot and a good actor. I had never even heard of him before and now im watching 2 of his other shows =))
I also agree about the ending. for rom coms it just doesn't work to have an open ending like that. I think the problem was that she completely changed the ending from what was leaked online before (shin and m.r. married with a baby and down the line s.j. meets y.k. and they get married)
but im guessing due to so many crazy yong hwa fans she completely changed the story (either that or she did drugs or something). you can tell that s.j. became the lead about halfway into the story. at the start they had equal screen time but about halfway in s.j. got more and more screen time and way more time spent with m.r. so it would have made sense to even have them end up together but the way the writer ended it was just bad =/
Really loving this show. I agree that for about 2 or 3 eps it got a little slow but it's back to being great again .
After ep 16 it seems they are finally going the Han / seo and park / choi road and if they aren't I don't know what the hell the writer is thinking putting so many cute scenes for each of those pairings....
Scenes I love this week -
The Han seo hug and how the next day Han acted like "what it's no big deal" and seo was all weird.
And the rice / candle scene with park choi when they got super close and looked all awkward and bumped heads and park looked at her like she was oh so cute =]
Can someone explain the ending I read that they don't end up together but is it they will never be together or they will be reunited later since he left but he might come back type of thing because what I read didn't give a lot of details
Great first 10 eps followed by 5 ok eps (after a 3 year time jump) followed by really great ending that I loved and was very satisfying =]
But I had to drop this to a 7 instead of an 8 simply because the female lead planned to marry the second male lead even after he hit her! I mean not only don't you love him but he freaking hit you and you plan to marry him, I have a huge problem with that.
First ep was pretty darn funny (and completely random). loved dae young he is a total dirty slacker foodie who walks around in tracksuits and lies all the time (and always to different girls) but the best part about him is he is so lazy he keeps all of his clothing at the dry cleaners near his house =)

Also both second leads were disgusting in my eyes. Neither actually cared about the person they supposedly loved but only cared about their own feelings and what they wanted. Both second leads at times said they didn't care if the other person was in love with someone else that they would never let them go and ja kyung went so far as trying to kill herself. That continued for about 12 of the 16 eps so it got pretty old. But it was a pretty lovely story about 2 people madly in love so it was for sure worth watching.
I loved the start of this and as a whole it's a pretty good story but around ep 11 I realized that what I loved from the drama was the main male lead and that's about it. He was such an amazing character and he showed countless times again and again that everything he did was because of his love for yool joo. But in my opinion she was too weak of a character, whenever he pushed her away (because he thought it was best for her) she easily went and even ended up marrying a man she didn't love knowing that kang wook loved her and she loved him.
It seems they spent a lot of money for promotion, requisites and actors, but none for writer/s. Or maybe the writers…
The writer is Kim Eun sook, she is one of the most famous writers in korea. Not that you have to like her or this show or anything but just letting you know they spent big bucks on her and she actually picked out most of the cast she wanted. she's that famous, she gets what she wants for her dramas
