The story was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be and if it had different leads, I think it might have even been a good show....but the leads are just not strong enough to lead a show. I don't want to be mean but neither actor is very good at acting, good looking enough, have enough charisma or have chemistry together.
1. The female lead is such a bad actress it is painful to watch 2. The editing for this feels really choppy, feels like it jumps around, and some scenes feel like they should be way longer 3. If Mik wasn't the male lead I would drop this
I was seriously looking forward to this show and was going to start it the weekend it came out, but after seeing the reviews, I decided to hold off until it was finished airing. I'm so glad I never started it after reading about the ending. I could have watched it even if it was as bad as everyone says just because I like both leads, but having a badly written show with a bad ending is just inexcusable.
If you fast-forward any scene that does not have Gun, Parin, or Mita in it, this lakorn is actually enjoyable. I mean, it's still beyond ridiculous, but it's at least actually watchable.
Some of my favorite WTF parts: 1. After Gun knows Orn killed at least 1 person and watched her try to kill his gf and his unborn child, he tells her to take good care of Pim...The fact that he let her in the same room as his child is just beyond nuts and no parent would do that. 2. Parin getting shot again, lol, the writer really just wants to make Mita have a heart attack. 3. Gun thinking even for one second that Wimala might not be pregnant by him. Does he not remember the entire episode in which they had sex every 5 minutes?
There are way more dumb things, but for the most part, fast-forwarding 30 to 40 minutes per episode made me be able to enjoy this ridiculous show.
I don't think this is nearly as bad as most of the comments here say. I mean, it's not great, but I did give it a 7...but I also fast-forwarded all the scenes not having James in them, so that's probably the reason I didn't hate it lol...The timeline did drive me crazy because it was all over the place but that was my biggest complaint.
Liked parts of this but other parts not so much. There was really no direction or straight storyline for this. It was just kind of all over the place. Like we get 1 episode of Kat dealing with an actress she didn't get along with, and the next episode, it was the same thing for Ryu; like what was the point of spending 2 episodes of the same thing? Also, why was there an entire episode of them running around a hotel scared of a ghost? That was so random. But I did like seeing them together again and they still look great together.
Is this based on a manhwa? Cause there's this indie movie from like 15 years ago called Dakota Skye where the female lead had a superpower where she knew when people lied, and she ends up meeting a boy who her powers don't work on. Sounds similar, just without the murder plot.
I just saw someone talking about this show on another site and they mentioned you can watch it on YouTube or iqiyi but the iqiyi has bonus scenes. are they part of the episode or just bonus clips?
Not sure why anyone would want to watch the sad ending where Pong dies when you could watch the happy one where Pong, Risa, and baby live happily ever after, but I guess some people like sad endings (masochists lol). But really glad they decided to give fans a happy ending.
The first half of this show was an easy 10 for me, but as soon as everyone figured out that the mom/aunt was behind everything, the storyline/characters started making me a little mad. I will still probably rewatch this sometime cause I loved the leads together, just wasn't a fan of the back half of it.
Couple things I wish had been included ... 1. Nari seeing Kawin's butterfly tattoo. 2. Kawin finding out Nari still had the butterfly he made her. Those would have been cute scenes to include.
I've only ever shipped the male lead with the second female lead twice before; with this show, I didn't ship them together but damn, did I want him to sleep with her. I would have loved to have seen a scene where he told his dad, 'I slept with your wife and your daughter.' And I would have loved to see how Net would have reacted when she found out she slept with her step-son... Absolutely loved Paul, and this was a great revenge lakorn but ughh the female lead sucked.
If anyone wants to pay this is finished on lakornpixie ....
Spoilers for the ending .... The female lead dies at age 46 and asked the male lead not to make her immortal. The last 2 scenes are the male lead and their adult son at her grave, followed by Ken on the beach seeing her reincarnated. So a bittersweet ending.
