Ugly alert is hands down one of my favorite dramas. The family storyline had me crying many times because it was so touching and the love storylines were all great. And a huge plus for me was it by far had the most skinship I've ever seen in a drama - touching, holding hands, play fighting, or kissing in every episode is a huge plus for me =]
Thanks for the warning to stay away from crazy love it's on my plan to watch list guess I'll have to drop that now
I put off watching this drama for awhile because of the sensitive subject matter and because I read on some blog a very long time ago that the ending was pretty open for the couple.
well that was a huge mistake this drama is amazing. the story is slow but beautiful and the acting is beyond perfect. also it was never too heavy, there were some sad moments but mostly the story was an uplifting one.
also regarding the ending I guess I should know better than to just believe what I read because the ending wasn't open at all. actually from about episode 4 or so, min gi seo makes it perfectly clear that he loves her and wants to be a family with them. he tells her repeatedly that he likes her, that she changed him, and that he cant eat, drink or breathe without her. he even calls bom and her a miracle. he's pretty much the perfect guy =)
Oh man that scene when they were arguing over it and they started beating lee sun gyun when he was talking about how perfect her body was, that was so funny
never read the book so after just watching the movie I have to agree with others. its really weird that she ended up with mirai who was only in the movie maybe 20 mins total and who she never showed any feelings for and not yuji who she was in love with most of the movie (and she made out with a lot of times). gave this a 5.
for a movie that nothing really happens this is actually really freaking good and the music is amazing. I had never heard of mate before but now I need to get all their albums.
so the last 2 episodes were spent just showing the play they had been preparing for the rest of the series. and truthfully I would have lovvvedd to have watched that story it looked great and was way more interesting. but I don't really get why they did that it made this movie/drama feel left open and that time I thought should have been used to develop their relationship more after she realized how great he was.
also besides that I hated the female lead she was annoying, rude, and used him a lot but he was adorable in a dorky way (and actually hot when he did the play)
side note - I had no clue who either of these 2 were but ill look for more of lee sung yeol again =)

I didn't have a list for this year but I kept seeing lots of people with them so I made one for next year.
The 3 female leads ive hated most are all on this list jan di, mok dan and whatever eugenes character was named I hated her so much I dont even want to remember her haha (actually I have an allergy to eugene I have never liked her before in a role for some reason) nice article and good picks
wow it took 3 eps for this show to go from my favorite airing show to a show im about to drop. I just cant stand female leads like yoo jung, I don't get how she can marry and sleep with a man she doesn't love when she is in love with someone else. ugghh makes me not want to watch the rest of the series
focuses more on the police, treasure hunt, mystery aspect with some romance and comedy added in but its a very good drama and lee dong gun is seriously way too freaking hot in this and the role he plays is really cute =)
the only thing that was weird to me was I kept thinking the father was going to be alive even after they found his body I kept thinking it was staged and he was hiding out. there were tons of hints that made it seem like he wasn't really dead but he actually was and I found that a little weird. I guess the writer was just trying to keep the mystery going but it felt a little off.
between a 7 and an 8 its really cute but a little slow at times. I loved that the male lead never once thought about his ex and it was cute watching him not realize he was in love with jung sook right away. but I had a problem with them killing off the grandfather in the last 30 mins of the series, I did not see any reason for that.
I generally dont like medical dramas ...but some of the cast appeals to me (Chu Alex/Jung Ryeo Won/Joo Ji Hoon)…
jjh will end up with jrw. its not over yet but ksw is dating the other female lead and jjh and jrw have always had a sort of/kind of relationship. not sure if that helps you decide if you want to watch or not.

Another drama that reminds me of this is ugly alert (although I like ugly alert a little more)
