This was seriously seriously cute and I loved the ending when they showed the flashback of when he was in the hospital and was watching nam hee's show and said if he has to be sent somewhere he wants to be sent to where she was loved that
the start of this drama was so good I was thinking 9 or 10 but I just ended up having so many problems with it (way too many to list), that I gave it a 6. my biggest problem (like listed below me) was if you are going to use hyun joon still being alive as a plot device why didn't they actually do something with it. instead they had him die a second time and his being alive didn't bring anything to the story her saying goodbye would have been the same if he was dead or alive.
i gave this a 7 instead of a 9 or 10 like I would have if the last episode didn't suck so much. they added so much stuff that was pointless. (why didnt they use the sick sister plot way early in the series. they introduced it early on but waited for the last 15 mins of the series to use it, that felt so out of left field to me.) also they didn't show us an ending for anyone. normally an open ending doesn't bug me if its for 1 or 2 plot points but this show left pretty much everything open besides grandpa jo going to jail. what were yi soo and hae woo going to say, what about hae woo and her husband, what about his father, what about the romance between soo hyun and the sister, what about the secretary and yi soo's adoptive dad (forgot his name already) why did he want revenge and if its pretty clear he loved yi soo why did yi soo threaten him that was a little weird.
also its heavily implied that yi soo dies but they don't show him flatline during surgery, they don't show a funeral, dont show spreading of ashes and they dont show what happens to his sister or friends after. if they were going to kill him id have liked to see what happens to everyone after and proof that he was actually dead not a "he can breath now" and a clock starting again, cause both those can be interpreted in different ways and it leaves it pretty open. and if they were leaving it up to the viewer to decide if he lives or not they should have finished the series on him in the operating room not on her in the ocean cause that way people would be left guessing.
woaaahhh I thought the forced skinship was the best thing ever but the hong sisters proved me wrong. kissing to save her = my new best thing ever (might not have been the sexiest kiss but its up there with alien kisses in my book)
I kind of wonder if they intended Attorney Jang to end up with Attorney Cha because it really seemed like it and…
i dont think so since from episode 1 soo ha and jang were clearly set up as the otp. they had all the cliché things that dramas normally have ...
- childhood love
- misunderstandings/dislike at first(jang toward soo ha, and soo ha pretending he disliked her)
- forced living situation
- countless touching/cute scenes together (like shopping, jumping around on his back etc)
- when she took off from her date with cha because she was worried about soo ha
- they kissed first which is a huge give away in Korean rom coms. its pretty much always the guy that the girl kisses first that she ends up with
- but the biggest give away was right after the first kiss in the epilogue when she said soo ha's promise comes first, that pretty much confirmed that they would end up together since he comes first to her even when she thought she liked another man
This drama is so underrated! The acting, the cinematography is all above 10! I hope the low rating isn't because…
i totally agree its an easy 10 for me its the best cinematography ive ever seen for a drama, the story is so freaking beautiful, the love is epic, and uhm tae woong doesn't even speak for 90% of the drama but its probably the best acting job ive seen
the first half of this drama was a 10 it was sooo freaking good. but around the halfway mark the focus switched from the otp to the mother drama and it dragged until the last few episodes. also jo jung suk got hardly any screen time and pretty much became a supporting character. so I ended up giving this drama a 7
I dropped this drama no joke 6 times during the first 11 episides and it took me 5 months to finally complete it. The only reason I kept picking it up again when i seriously hated the first episodes was because of ysh. But once I got to 12 to 16 I watched it all in one day and completely loved the last episodes of the series so I bumped my rating up to a 7
The reason I didn't give moon that embraces a 10 was because of ga in, I truthfully not only hated her acting but I didn't like the character at all she was the weakest female lead I've seen (and I'm a makjang queen so I've seen a million weak females) and her character to me didn't have anything likable ...
Thanks for the article love reading about these half of them I didnt know about
I think it's kind of crazy that 2 of the 3 shows that I know of where the second lead gets the girl include park Shi Hoo =] But I read that the second half of this was like how dream high was where the second lead basically becomes the male lead and gets way more screen time is that true ?
Just watched city of bones and I never thought I'd say this but Godfrey might tie with miura haruma for sexiest man alive wowwww was he good looking in that movie
I really loved this drama it was very very good and I loved that the 2 leads got together pretty early on and stayed together and that there wasn't really any crazy rivals. the only thing that I had a small problem with was that there were soooo many side characters so none of them really got developed but since this story mostly focused on the 2 leads it didn't take anything away from the story
I just watched episode 11... I'm thinking about dropping it.
Kim Jae won's character starts to fake date his biological sister Kim gyu ri's character. Neither knows they are related and neither actually likes the other they are both using each other, him to get closer to solving murder case and her to not have to marry a different guy.
For all the people talking about it being 120 episodes you have to remember each episode is only 20 mins so its really like watching a 40 episode drama. so its shorter than most weekend family dramas if you think about it
this is only the second drama where I shipped the second female lead (rara from bridal mask was the first) but even if they didn't end up together i still loved this drama
after episode 4 this might be my favorite hong sisters show had me cracking up laughing at the start and squealing at the cute at the end of the episode
After the drama <You are the Best!>,
KBS New Drama <King's Family>! from 2013.09.21
... I've also been looking at darksmurf daily for updates since they r subbing it but it's really slow going
also its heavily implied that yi soo dies but they don't show him flatline during surgery, they don't show a funeral, dont show spreading of ashes and they dont show what happens to his sister or friends after. if they were going to kill him id have liked to see what happens to everyone after and proof that he was actually dead not a "he can breath now" and a clock starting again, cause both those can be interpreted in different ways and it leaves it pretty open. and if they were leaving it up to the viewer to decide if he lives or not they should have finished the series on him in the operating room not on her in the ocean cause that way people would be left guessing.
