This is a romantic melodrama. I usually steer away from heavy dramas because I can’t handle too much angst except in books, but Yang Yang and Wang Churan do a superb job of portraying complex individuals and torn and hurt former lovers. I cried at the end of episode 10. Based on the trailers, they will find a way and fight to be together eventually. Hopefully, a happy ending. The secondary characters also do a good job. I’m really liking it so far.

So far I’m enjoying the drama although formulaic plot. Very good acting by everyone. Plus the visuals of Yang Yang and Wang Churan are off the richter!! No wonder there are dating rumors.

While you are allowed to express your opinion, I do not think watching approximately only 10 minutes of each episode and speed watching the drama can you make a fair assessment of the FL’s level of maturity. She is a very optimistic, playful, smart, funny, honest, positive and confident young woman, who goes after what she wants and who lifts everyone around her. She fights against injustice and is the key to opening the ML’s heart and helps him grow. She is unwavering in terms of her love for the ML and is assertive. So I’m not sure how you define maturity. Yes, she’s playful and silly at times, but that’s part of her charm, and there’s more to her than that. Of course, we all have a preferences.

Well said. I am in complete agreement with you. I’ve watched several dramas, both Chinese and Korean, that also “blind sided” me with unhappy endings. I too don’t watch dramas to be wrecked at the end when I’ve been constantly wrecked while watching it. I save sad and tragic endings for novels. I’m weary of the same tropes that cause conflict that drag these dramas only to rush things at the end. However, WIFTY was an ebullient experience! The director, the actors, everyone involved did a wonderful and brilliant job to create an unforgettable love story.

This is my favorite drama. I too was a bit disappointed they didn’t show the pregnancy and them being a family. I also hope they are in another drama; their chemistry is so strong.

It’s a comfort to know that I am not the only one mourning the end of this drama and missing Rang Rang and Zai Zai and the other characters. Sigh. 😔

I’m keeping a look out for another drama to fall in love with. Back to the Brink was also really really good in terms of story and the love between the FL and ML. The chemistry between the leads was amazing. However, WIFTY is still number one. 🥰

I literally stayed up till 12 AM to watch them air the final 2 episodes! I watched in bed and my sweet husband — he’s a Rang Rang in my life— who had to wake up early this morning for work was not bothered I was squealing with joy.

It was a perfect ending! I love how both showed their unwavering and complete devotion to each other. My favorite is the last scene when Rang Rang and Zai Zai are in their school uniforms for their high school reunion and they were embracing each other tightly and the camera zooms towards them as the light shines upon them and you see the utter bliss and happiness in their faces!! OMG! the sweetness! It was just perfect and beautiful, giving us the final scene of them. It imprints in our minds how they will always be: in that moment, embracing so tightly with love and joy in their faces. ❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️

These two are so adorbs together. Their relationship is full of love, support, and trust. They lift each other up. And not once do they let each other doubt each other’s love. 💕

At the ending of episode 22, I wanted to slap that disgusting miscreant misogynist who harassed Zai Zai. The emotional turmoil she expressed was heart wrenching. It was so obvious what he was doing, and no one at that table defended her because of the power he holds. But knowing Zai Zai, she’ll defend herself. She’s no wallflower or doormat. And I’m sure Lu Rang will comfort and aid her.

Two more episodes, and I’m already mourning the end of this lovely journey of these two beautiful humans falling in love and being in love.

I did enjoy episodes 3 and 4. The plot is very formulaic, but Lee Junho as eye candy and his chemistry with Yoona made it worthwhile.
