Title The Forbidden Flower Spoiler
I ugly cried the entire episode 24. Everything was so beautifully done—the romantic and wrenching proposal with the stars, to the traditional and extravagant wedding (hearing the vows and knowing it can’t be), to the snowy mountain and lake sorrowful confession of love (ugh! She wanted to sleep and he said he would sleep with her! I couldn’t keep the tears at bay), to the moment she walked into his arms in a sea of flowers he dedicated to her with smiles lighting their faces. 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸The ending before the credits knifed my heart. He kept everything of hers, and we see that he bought a black fish to accompany the pink one he nurtured and healed. We see the epiphyllum blooming two flowers!! I thought that was all symbolic of how present she is in his life and how he waits patiently to be reunited with her again. Seeing him heartbroken—Jerry Yan, I love you! Don’t cry—and then he hears her call out his name, I ugly cried even more. And I screamed to divine providence the unfairness of it all. And I thought, I’m not going to get over this heat ache for awhile. Then we are privy to a wondrous scene after the credits. And my heart soared. Ambiguity, as much as I hate it, at least I’m allowed to interpret the ending as the two of them being together and living in bliss in the end. A love like theirs is eternal. This is an incredible love story, with imperfect human beings who love so profoundly and deeply that no one nor time nor death can break asunder. ❤️❤️❤️

Just watched episode 23. Beautifully acted. I can’t with these two. The depth of their love and the needless pain. 💕 ❤️❤️❤️💔. Jerry Yan and Xu Ruo Han have such great chemistry! When they’re together, butterflies flutter wildly. 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 Wishing for a happy ending. Then I’ll be euphoric. If not, 😭😭😭😭

what sad ending dramas have you watched? I feel like I haven't seen any in a while
I’m with you. Yesterday, I just made the mistake of watching The Starry Night, The Starry Sea. I loved it till the end, the very last minute I was like , “WTF!.” I was heartbroken. I also watched three dramas—Almost Love, 20th century Girl, and another Chinese drama—in the last month with very sad endings. So I am weary. However, The Forbidden Flower is my favorite drama, so I am going to watch till the end. I’ll deal with the melancholy by binging on dramas with happy endings.

I’m going to wait till someone here reveals the ending the director chose. If it’s the sad ending, I will somehow find a way to steel my heart and watch it. But I will prepare myself. I am one of those people who watches for happy endings in these dramas because reality is already painful.

Guys make ur self prepare for emotional rollercoaster bec last episodes going to be very emotional from teasers…
I'm so invested in their love story. I want a happy ending, and I'm apprehensive about the last few episodes. I cannot get over sad endings for a long time. I watched Almost Love with the FML, Xu Ruo Han, in this drama and Twentieth Century Girl and both endings made me so melancholy that I cannot rewatch them. I may wait a another day for the last episodes to air, before I sit down to watch what happens at the end.

I don’t foresee a trophy issue. I actually enjoy the slow burn in this drama. But I do understand how it can…
Yes, that makes sense.

Watched the first 5 episodes. I am hooked. Very sensual for a Chinese drama. Love everything about it so far, especially the intense chemistry between Xu Ruo Han and Jerry Yan!! However, I’m anxious about the ending. Hoping this has a happy ending.

Still don’t know how I feel about this drama. Don’t know if I’ll last 24 episodes. The asian build up takes…
I don’t foresee a trophy issue. I actually enjoy the slow burn in this drama. But I do understand how it can be torturously slow with other dramas.

I agree. I want my male main leads to be flawed, but Kuer is just an idiot. I'm like "WTF, Kuer!!"
🤣😂

I watch this now for the comedic value. I mean come on Phim is now LIVING with Kuer even as they are suspects…
LOL. It started out well, and now ...ugh... I mean I don't want a perfect male lead; however, seriously?? What the Fudge is this?!

Of course she did as I predicted. Will Un tell or ask Kuer about it? Of course not….arrrrgggghhhh
I hope he ends his idiocy.

Why does Kuer believe telling Un that Phim has cancer and is pregnant explains his actions or inactions? He still…
I agree. I want my male main leads to be flawed, but Kuer is just an idiot. I'm like "WTF, Kuer!!"
