omg that's terrible! i did not know that. i know very little about chinese movie studio systems. i was under the impression that she owned the company and had a say in everything.

there's a price to pay for being too popular i guess... i haven't seen many of her stuff but i think being too famous+pretty, she tends to be typecast. big mainstream projects have less room to grow as an actress i think. would be nice if she could star in works of someone like hou hsiao hsien or tsai ming liang (she praised works of hou hsiao hsien at toronto film fest). hou hsiao hsien cast my other fave beauty shu qi a few times and those are great works of art.

i think QS was rude towards WF in that ep tbh. if she wanted to keep WF off the case, which is valid (conflict of interest etc etc) it's better if she could have told WF frankly which is a lot more mature and professional than purposely ignoring her existence, especially in front of others.

yeah i'm not sure either.. i think she thinks she may still have some feelings for him? she's definitely more unsure about her feelings than YH who is very clear about his feelings towards her. her coming to realization about her feelings and accepting her feelings to herself would be great to see played out in later eps.

series may be difficult but maybe she can consider indie movies? there are quite a few lesbian chinese indie movies out there.
