I fast forward past them too. I don't mind a "little" fanservice. And I mean a little. Having not read the book,…
"And can I say it? The fact that Kuea faked being ill and then suddenly Lian was acting like he had a real fever... Did I miss something? I was like WTF?"
Don't worry about that. He's just gaslighting Kuea, as usual π
Depends on whether you like more fluffy, or more darker stuff. Love By Chance has a bit of both, but don't bother…
It's sort of dark? It's done by the same people as Tharntype, so it has similar vibes and a little overlap. I would say it's lighter than TharnType, but I enjoyed the romance in LBC more.
Finally finished a drama from my long "currently watching" list!
Overall, this was pretty good. Not the greatest, but I already had some preconceptions about it.
Let's start with the things I liked. All main characters portrayed a relatable struggles people face in real life. Chasing your dreams even if you don't believe in them that much anymore, trying to leave your lonely safe place only to realize you lack social skills necessary for it, not believing in your worth while trying your best, and seeking validation/connection by anticipating everyone's needs and adapting to them.
I also liked the two support characters - the female colleague and the young male one (sorry I can't remember the names, it's 2:30 am right now for me).
I liked how mature and non-judgemental Kurosawa was.
The premise itself was interesting. If only they didn't double it. That cheapened the experience in my opinion. Which brings me to the negatives.
Firstly, I didn't understand the value of second pairing in this show. They weren't developed enough for me to enjoy them, and their subplot was pretty similar to main couple, so they didn't serve as a good contrast, either. I would have probably erased them so the main leads can have more development.
Secondly, there seems to be a huge age gap between the leads! I know the younger one turned 30, but he looks to be in his early 20's. And how old is Kurosawa?
Thirdly, there wasn't enough intimacy between the leads, both physical and emotional. While I'm glad they didn't show the sex scene (it might put me off due to the visual age difference), I expected at least a kiss at the end of the season. A chaste one would be good enough. Just like a symbol of intimacy. For the emotional development, it was probably a time constraint that didn't allow them to go deeper. So I can understand it. Though I wished for more, even if it were rushed. I had a trouble believing they care for each other sometimes.
To sum up, it was above average as far as BLs go. I didn't enjoy it enough to rewatch it anytime soon, but I don't regret watching it in a first place.
Yea as I mentioned earlier, this comment section is kinda like a cutie pie haters community; they only point out…
I was team Kit and didn't even dare enter Gen Y 2 comments after scrolling through it. Though I didn't care about the drama enough to defend myself either way π
But everyone should feel free and safe to post whatever they want about the drama, as long as they are polite π
"This ainβt reality." If I truly believed every single person watching CP considers it an escapist fiction and…
I won't forget Cutie Pie because I have a lot of strong feelings/impressions from it, both positive and negative. I try to write them down each week in my comments, if you want to know the specifics π
Okay, the report I sent in to Support got the job done, apparently. As now you can search for Cutie Pie again.
You've already done it to me twice today!!! I don't know if I should be happy I'm coming on strong right from the start, or concerned.
Too hot to stop is the deepest stuff under the sun. I will have to believe you, then. Even though I have a feeling you're dragging me down a rabbit hole I won't eascape so easily π

With all due respect, I can already tell you I won't forget Cutie Pie (both the drama and this comment section) that easily.
And I disagree with your opinion that people have direct and absolute control over who they become. I believe that just about anything that happens to people shapes them into who they are. How they are born, where they live, who they meet, and what they do (even watch) affects who they become at each moment of their life. The bigger picture is just a bunch of smaller pictures in a collage.
C'mon, mimi! It's only two more episodes and there's bound to be more fanservice in each one. Su su na! π
Don't worry about that. He's just gaslighting Kuea, as usual π
Meanwhile, I heard something about Lukchub that I should investigate at my earliest convenience π

What is it with BL dramas and their propensity for episode 11 curse?
Spare my heart, y'all πππ

I won't let it go to waste, though I usually prefer my treats sweet π¬

"Retro" or "oldies", it doesn't matter. It's still stale news. Nobody normal got time for that. And it's not that deep, either.
I might learn from my musical elder and try (TRY) Trinity, though.
My brain wasn't even fully developed when those oldies came out! π¨
I could cave in and play some SBFIVE. But you surely wouldn't appreciate it with that attitude π
