I don't really have an opinion on Toh. Mostly just consider him a device for the themes to move. At first I was very weirded out, but now I just roll with it. So maybe I got used to him? Dunno. It's not the kind of a show I have to see each week as soon as it releases. But it's nice to rest my brain. And in-between CP and KP, the rest is much needed 🙂

SCOY doesn't have a plot in my opinion, almost at all (the latest episodes look like they are trying something, but not much). I watch it because of the cringey humor and rare heartfelt situations. But no plot.
CP pretends to have this layered, serious plot, but it's just a mess that gets abandoned and overwritten for drama whenever it needs to. If you wanted to follow it, you'll get lost and contradicted all the time. Also, it's boring. You can try, but I wouldn't expect anyone to enjoy CP for the "plot". Most people that like it enjoy visuals, music, hot scenes + fanservice or are in it just for the actors from my observations. I would say that visuals and music by their own aren't enough to make it worth it. That's why I say it's only good for people that enjoy the fanservice and sex scenes.

It's literally 3 messy, confusing, empty minutes! How is this a major justification for the show being good? They can't even establish whether same-sex marriage is allowed in their fictional Thailand or not!!! 🤯
SCOY has done exponentially more for representation and that show is an OTT mess as far as plot goes.

If I truly believed every single person watching CP considers it an escapist fiction and it has no negative effect on them, I wouldn't care.
But just looking at this discussion page, you can see people defending and normalizing stuff that I disagree with on moral level. So "this ain't reality" only works if everyone can effectively separate it from reality. Which we can't.
As long as there are comments like "this is just a cute fluffy drama, not problematic at all", "you're just too young to understand that relationships work like this", or "Kuea deserves what he's getting because he's spoiled", I'm gonna stick with it and point out every single instance that makes me uncomfortable. In the official MV, Kuea is singing the song about Lian. So I would say Lian's meant to be the "Cutie Pie". Not that the show gave us any indication of it, ever.

I think CP's main OST song is okay. Somewhere around in the middle compared to other BL shows. I love the "Change" song from the end of episode 2, especially for its emotional tone. I also like "Just Being Friendly" a lot, though I have to separate it from the mess that LianKuea's relationship been turning into at that time (episode 5). The latest one, "Be Yours", I can't even listen to. Since it was used during the sex scene of episode 9 (also, it's boring. But I don't need multiple reassons 💙). Even the official MV uses LianKuea's intimate footage from the show.
