This one wasn't so bad! (Though after the finale of Oh! My Assistant, everything's bound to look like masterpiece in comparisson π)
It has a plot, acting is good enough that it doesn't take me out, it's so short I don't have trouble keeping my focus on it... there's only one thing that really bugs me.
It's called 'show, don't tell', not 'show, then tell (or monologue).' Lines like "Does her mother have dementia?" and "It's Onoe's phone." are not only unnecessary, they're insulting to what's left of my intellect.
Seriously though, it's surprisingly enjoyable little J-BL. Maybe I have also just gotten myself seduced by Kamuragi, but I'll come back for more π
And the scene where MLs stood next to each other, talking... It was so badly shot I have a feeling they had to shoot their parts separately. Either that or someone really didn't know what they were doing π
Ngl, I expected a handsome ML4 to come out of the car at the end. Guess we can't be that lucky π₯
Did you already submit a new title for it? i dont want to make a repeat submission if yes
I haven't submitted it to MDL π
Since this is a subpage for the original short 4m movie (categorized as "korean'), I'm not sure whether there should be a new page made for the special, or how to categorize it π
But similarly to Ameiro Paradox, there wasn't anything interesting that would catch my attention. The director that buys me dinner was more entertaining at start in my opinion. But it also released 2 episodes at a time, so it had more space.
I'll give this two more episodes to go somewhere. But since there's been enough of korean and J-BLs lately, I don't feel the urge to keep this one on a table πΆ
I didn't really feel that way until this last episode. I was confused by the coconut ice cream prank, and the…
I think Noey is playing hard to get, but he's actually kinda interested in Thiwa. He also often says how he "surrenders" to Thi, which makes me think the character is more open to it than we'd expect. And he stopped caring about Pam (?) much as far as I can tell (the girl he was chasing after before).
So yeah, their actions don't make much of a sense, but they're open enough to lead us into their HEA.
So, I've seen two opinions about this part that I want to touch on:1. Why is Mint still friends with Dew / chasing…
No worries!
I agree with you about the sexuality of MLs being rarely defined in a clear way, which I believe is intentional from the makers' pov. I always prefer the sexuality of MLs to be addressed. I just don't feel it's clear enough right now for Dew to expect anything from him, even if it was beneficial in some way. That's why I think it's a moot point to dwell on for now.
Is it me or does Ben like Nuengdiao or does he seem shady and creepy?
I would have loved for Ben to have more dimensions, but I expect him to be a stock nice guy.
Even if he does something bad, they'll probably frame it as someone using him, and he'll get a weepy forgiveness arc. Especially since he's meant to be a part of the side couple, I don't see them putting much of a gray into him π
Now there's 4 cute boys, 1 scumbag and 1 female pseudo-rival. Palm's father is also starting to get on my nerves, but still less so than Payuu's.
The plot was way too random this episode. It was fairly entertaining, but it seemed like someone just stitched unrelated scenes together. It lacked a clearer aim.
That said, I enjoyed myself. So all's well if it ends well π
The supernatural element is really weird in the way it's presented, but it's not like they have enough time to pace it better π I liked the set-up in First Love Again more, though, since it was less confusing.
And aside from the 2-minute recap at the start of ep 2, it's pretty entertaining and quick watch. Shouldn't be a problem to finish.

I wanted to quit the finale episode so many times πππ
Why did they do this? What for? After episode 4, this show brought in nothing of its own. Explained nothing. Developed nothing. It just put more and more clichΓ©s on top of each other, boringly.
Honestly, this one is better as a skip π
Dennis should be munching on some red apples if he intends to just randomly keep passing out in hallways π
I expected way more from the fortune-teller. Spill the beans, sis! Ain't nobody got time for your riddles.
Also, the recaps aren't needed.

But that's it. I skipped through the rest.

[Like, we know he's likely gonna end up with Mum in some way. But that doesn't mean he identifies himself as gay at this point in time.]
I legit cried my ass off during the bar fight π€£π€£π€£
But we've got to see Payu the cutie, so all's well π I hope the actor stays in the industry for at least one more series π
