[0:20] I had to stop to read the mess. The right side probably says different stuff, but similar vibe. It almost feels like a reference to the messed PH fancons.
Very touching. But this show taught me to expect dark undertones whenever. So calling her "mom" isn't so much sweet as it's slightly disturbing πΆ
OH NO she didn't! It's gonna hurt Bew, too! π [sweet]
Gulf could never π
What period is the miniseries set in? Doesn't look like 2500 BC to me...
Never made a contract π¬π¬π¬
If I don't learn what's inside the box by the end of episode, I'll implode. [π€―]
Why are they both on couch?
The heck was that?! π€£π€£π€£ (Also, do people generally wear underwear under pajamas? Asking for an acquaintance.)
I'm curious whether it's a legit exercise actors used, or it was just made up for the show.
Imagine him saying that on set for real. How problematic that would become!
[30:16] "Kiss for sure. Ambulance." "Do they have to do another workshop?" "He doesn't do this all the time, does he?" (let's hope gaga comes up with something better.)
[36:45] The translation is messy, but the gist is - "They can't act it out, because they fell for real."
Well, that escalated quickly!
We have all expected the ending. But still π¬π¬π¬
They had more emotion in that one scene that all of Rain-Payuu during first 9 episodes π₯Ί (Also, screw Rain!)
Jao dare you! With those same lips...!
Karma got its kiss for you π (even if those situations aren't exactly comparable)
He wants your love, yeah, yeah!
Why are so many people in this jerks?
They literally just switch their positions π
I'm happy for you, RaPa shippers. I trully am. Even though they are boring af.
So many KiSu scenes! So many skips π
The music is too upbeat for his pain.
They slept together, and they're still boring? π° When do we stop with that 'duty' angle?
Pairings ratings!
1. Shun - 10/10. He even has to console himself because surprise surprise, no one's ever there for him, ever π€ 2.RaShu - 3/10. Lots of emotions from Shun, nothing from Rain. He will have to work hard if he wants to get back in the game. Provided Shun lets him. 3.Khim-Pie - 6/10. I don't think they even talked this episode, but Pie pretty much tried to burn his bridge to Phet. And Ki-Su didn't move that much this episode, either (at least they haven't kissed. I skipped the boring talks.) 4.Phet - 7/10. He was cute, a bit emotional, but too meek. Needs to stand up for himself more! 5.Sun-Phet - 7/10. Similar to Khim-Pie, but they are generally nicer to each other 𧑠6.PaBa - 4/10. Payuu got mixed up in something, but that might resolve soon. Baibua could have some screentime next ep. 7.Tony-Teacher - 5/10. Still haven't interacted.
Eyeglasses, ok I see.But...earbuds gesture ?Why ?But you are right, it's so good.I don't expect a long developping…
"doesnt necessarily mean that the pursued undervalues/lets down the pursuer?"
I agree with that. I don't think he's actively letting Xu down, but I still think he should make it apparent to Xu by being more proactive in the relationship. Sorta. We're still in the middle, so I'm sure it will balance itself out.
"My point is, Ye accepting Xu's gift and expressing, wanting to connect and be more intimate with him is kinda a gift for Xu already (for high schoolers' maturity - i repeat)."
Honestly, I found the whole scene kinda awkward. I mean, we, the audience, can see how Ye is interested in Xu (for example, by showing us how Ye listens to Xu's music on his own). But from Xu's pov (what Xu sees Ye doing), it's still more of a one-sided crush imo. The way the scene was portrayed, it wasn't really given a significant weight. So while we know it meant a lot for Xu, it didn't convey properly how much it meant for Ye in my opinion. Which, again, creates this sense of imbalance between their feelings, where Xu, while being in a generally worse-off position, is putting more into the relationship than he's getting back.
That said, there is still a lot to cover, and they can get back to it in future episodes. It irks me as for as that one moment goes, but it's in no way a grave issue and it won't prevent me from continuing to like the series. I just think that it could have been portrayed better.

"I'm sure it had a deep value for him to give these earbuds to his ... Crush ?"
Yeah. I get that. But it still doesn't feel good. This will sound a bit materialistic, but I hope it pays off for him. That it doesn't lead to heartbreak and/or regret. It doesn't look like Ye is using Xu so far, but it's very apparent that even though Xu is the one who's struggling more (especially financially), he's also the one who's pursuing Ye more and putting more into their budding relationship.
It kinda reminded me of the perfume thing from LM, which didn't end that well (I liked how it hurt, but About Youth has more than enough hurt already). So for me, the scene's showing us how deep in Xu already is, and how vulnerable that can make him. I don't want him to be taken advantage of by someone who could ultimately leave him because of (family) reasons. I hope Ye starts giving back, at least on the emotional front.
[I'm probably overthinking this. But I just felt bad watching it. They can still make something good out of it! But if they just let it go, it's gonna leave a bad taste in my mouth.]
Eyeglasses, ok I see.But...earbuds gesture ?Why ?But you are right, it's so good.I don't expect a long developping…
Basically what @Loops_in_stories said. They made a big deal out of how much music means to Xu, how he had to save up to buy it, how unusual it is that he has it (meaning it's most likely a one-off)... and then they make him give it away to someone who's perfectly capable of buying his own earbuds.
I get the emotional value in it, but they could have dealt with it better. Especially after we've seen Xu struggling (financially or not) during the whole series.
After 4 episodes, still pretty darn good! The pacing is a bit faster than I'd like, but hey! 8 x 20 minutes? It's basically a K-BL runtime. I should be grateful they have as much of an interesting plot as they do π
There are two little things I didn't like in episodes 3-4 :
1. The eyeglasses comment. 2. The earbuds gesture.
Sasiwimol is still the best character and actor in this drama, even if she only gets 10 minutes of screentime.
Wang the person from outer perspective is great and well portrayed, Wang the inner voice is too much.
In as a character could be interesting, but the way his actor plays him bores me. Maybe it's just because he isn't as expressive as both Sasi and Wang. But he pales in comparisson.
I came here for Pavel. I stayed here for Duen Yi. There's very little reason to continue this. But only two more episodes left? I can give him that π
can someone please explain to me why Dee doesn't want to be with Ohm
How far have you seen it?
From what I understand, Ohm was prioritizing his job/career over his relationship with Dee, to a point when he even missed the vast majority of Dee's birthday party because he was on a phone. Dee probably didn't feel important enough to Ohm to continue the relationship. We can see that even after they separate and Ohm tries to win Dee back, he's still prioritizing his job (like taking the phone call when they were trying to settle things).
There's also the whole 'sexual harassment' angle, though I'm not sure how much that influences Dee's decisions.
Poor Bew! He looked like a frightened rabbit π€

Other than that, i'm very much enjoying it. With all the clichΓ©s, and all the sad backstories. It feels cozy π
Their dynamic is more complicated than just age gap, but I think it's pretty well presented so far.
Wang the person from outer perspective is great and well portrayed, Wang the inner voice is too much.

That was A+ product placement opportunity! Show me how much collagen you're packing!
They truly are a cute duo! Even if unstable π
[7:25] The look! The foreshadowing! This is gonna explode.
Does Sasi have something against series Y?
[18:08] Does anyone know what he meant by that?
I hope one of the BLs win, just for the drama π
We don't like how Sasi wants to 'make her kid normal' π¬π¬π¬
Wang's inner voice is saying a bit too much. I would have loved to be shown instead π
That was the most useless plank in existence.
Sounds like a scene from japanese BL. Or shoujo manga. Did you like the origin story?
This was actually really fun! Until Pleng came to 'save' Yi π
Alcohol π
Did they know she wants to quit?
The way he's touching his hand all the time, copletely *naturally*
Ok, I'm warning up to the secondary couple. They don't really interest me, but I have no longer the itch to skip them βΊοΈ
This would be so much better if one of them was called Win and other Ter! Which, they are now.
This basically all happens in first two episodes , we will see how/if it develops from there on.
