I'm also new to Chinese dramas and I'm fascinated by the idea that they love to go in isolation for "cultivation". Can someone tell me more about that? :)
I mean... how can I not love this drama? I'm still currently watching it but man, it's giving me a mix of W-Two Worlds, Nirvana in Fire and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms feels. I'm loving it! <3
EDIT: The absurdity of the plot (again, for the second time) is killing my brain cells. But I'm still here because of the main couple's chemistry with the addition of Liu Shang (can we talk about how gorgeous this guy is? Like seriously, I can watch him act all day). And just like in Season 1, the first half of the drama is the most enjoyable. I just hope the ending won't disappoint, again.
Unbelievably good. Acting was on-point! The cinematography is good. I can't believe that Kim Soo Hong made me cry! But I definitely felt lighter after that scene.
My takeaway from this movie: -Dying is not so bad after all. If anything, it frees us from all the obligations and the demands of this physical world.
I'm just worried my guardians would have a hard time defending me in the Afterlife court. haha.
Loved it! This drama is EXTREMELY EASY to binge-watch. I wish it was longer, though. I could watch the main couple go about their daily lives and have cute dates for 50 more episodes. They're just so cute together.
And can we talk about how the female lead looks like Kim Bok Joo of WFKBJ? I honestly watched this drama because of this and I'm glad I did.
It's very warm, light, and romantic. Very refreshing. Makes you feel young and makes you want to be happy always especially every Wednesday at 3:30 pm -- if you know what I mean. ;)
Girl...I love you! OMG...I couldn't read the rest of your post. You had me at "so light the female lead cried…
I saw some clips of the I Live Alone series of Kim Seul Gi and Sung Hoon and I can totally see what you mean. I like Seul Gi's morning rituals and I also like how manly Sung Hoon's personality is. The always-prim-and-proper characters that he play in dramas always get me, though. But I like him either way. :)
So would you say it's a good watch until episode 27-ish? I'm interested in this drama because of Vanness Wu but…
Gotcha. So then I'll watch the first 27 episodes and then the last 2 episodes, right? Just want to be clear on this. Don't want to waste my time and be frustrated on the plot. hehe. Thanks in advance! :)
I enjoyed this one. Probably because of Tiffany Tang more so than anything else. The 1st half was much better…

I like this drama, but i don't know why I just can't feel the romance between the two leads.
You're not alone. I couldn't feel it, too. Something was lacking. What is it called? Chemistry? Spark? The kissing scenes were meh, too. Lee Jong Suk is a good kisser. Suzy seems like a good one, too. But I couldn't tell they were a couple even while they were kissing. haha.
Although it took me quite a while to finish it (I put it on hold for some time and even considered dropping it-- but I'm glad I didn't), I'm happy with how things turned out.
I love Lee Jong Suk. But Han Woo Tak and Lee Yu Beom kept steeling my heart and my attention.
I initially didn't like the main couple. I thought the weren't a good match and were not convincing. I even developed a Second-Lead Syndrome. But they fortunately grew on me and I finally accepted that the second lead wasn't meant for the main female lead.
The middle part felt a bit draggy and boring. But the last episodes were very heartwarming and the final episode was nicely done. I'm quite satisfied with the ending. I have no complaints.
I don't know why but I like crying over heartaches and sad love stories. But, for the record, I'm not a fan of bittersweet drama endings. It's just that this drama is full of crazy roller coaster of emotions (mostly sad) that I eventually got used to the feeling and didn't mind having it end in a tragic way.
There's nothing great about the plot (I honestly didn't bother analyzing the plot because I was so busy enjoying the interactions between the main characters. haha) but I always find myself clicking the next episode or convincing myself to watch one more episode before going to bed. If only I didn't need to get up early for work, I would have binge-watched the whole thing.
The main characters are so entertaining (in my opinion) that I couldn't care less about what's going on around them or what the antagonists are up to. And can we just talk about the female lead's outfits and how the other characters wear the same set of clothes and jewelry multiple times? I don't remember seeing Korean drama characters repeat their outfit. This is very new to me and it's refreshing.
Overall, I give this drama a 10/10 because, again, I am in love with the main couple (as well as the side couple) so please don't judge me. He he.
