Hopefully the shows I've listed below are still on Netflix. I'll just give you these for now, not knowing if you watch on any other platform. If it has an asterisk, it's either not a romance or not STRICTLY a romance. Some of these I've liked so much, I go back and re-watch them after I've watched a couple of not-so-good shows. Business Proposal Crash Landing on You (chemistry between the leads is amazing, they ended up getting married IRL) Dali and the Cocky Prince *Flower of Evil Her Private Life (1st couple of episodes she's an irritating fan girl, after that, lovely) *Hospital Playlist 1 and 2 (Excellent stories and music) *Hotel Del Luna (fantasy, beautifully filmed) *Just Between Lovers (aka Rain or Shine) King the Land *Missing: The Other Side (1 & 2) *Move to Heaven My Roommate is a Gumiho *Mystic Pop-Up Bar Romance is a Bonus Book Sh**ting Stars *The Good Detective (1 & 2) *Tomorrow (heavy themes, but so beautifully done) True Beauty
Oh my god thank you!!! I'm new to Dramas so those words mean a lot!
Let me look at my review list and I'll send you some recommendations. You have Netflix, where else do you watch? I watch a lot on Viki, but I know not everyone has that. I can let you know what I watched on Netflix in the past, but they keep getting rid of stuff! My main criterias are 1) if it's a romance, the couple needs to end up together, 2) I need a happy ending. Life is hard enough without being depressed by the shows I watch. I've watched some good Japanese dramas, but they like their tragic endings, and I just can't! It might be Monday when I get back with you, but I'll send you some stuff!! Then you'll just have to weed through if things are too much romance.

Well, you may be new to the K-drama world, but your review was so well thought out. Do you think that thrillers will be your "go-to" genre? I'm mostly a romance gal, but I have strayed into other areas and have seen some good shows. I realize it's all personal opinion, but if you ever want recommendations, let me know, I'll help if I can.

I'm not sure, I don't think they ever actually address it. And the Japanese tend to look so youthful, it's hard to tell. Since she's a homeroom teacher, I was thinking that she hadn't been a teacher that long, but I don't know. It doesn't seem very controversial the way it is addressed.
She takes a very "hands-off" approach to him, not crossing the line. Most of the show is about him wanting to be with her and her saying no. I don't care for the student/teacher thing that the Japanese seem to like so much. However, I LOVED A Story to Read When You First Fall in Love. I think the reason was, the teacher was very immature and the student was very mature.
I'm confused abt the ending after that part in the snow. Can he already see? But I was thinking the priest on…
That's the way I rate also. So, From Me to You (the movie) is from a few years ago. I, personally, liked it better than the series. The series was still good and it's on Netflix.

I'm with you! I watched From Me to You (for the umpteenth time) last night and now trying to figure out what to watch tonight. These days, even the rom/coms are spending time in melodrama land in the middle episodes. I say, find a genre and stick to it! And, personally, I don't find it romantic 1) when someone dies, or 2) when the main couple don't end up together.
Aaaaaargh this is why I don't tend to watch shows while they are airing and wait until they are finished so I…
Thank you so much for your comments. You have reinforced my reasoning for waiting until a whole series is released. I'm sorry, but for me, it shouldn't be called a romance if it doesn't have a happy ending. i don't even like open endings. Crossing this one off my list!
