I was dreading it so much, but I'm so relieved now! They handled that plot with so much nuance and care. But I don't have much faith in what happens from here. I keep hoping for a miracle.
This boy Ollie is something else. Mind you he was only 19 when he did this. He has so much screen presence and is so captivating. If he seriously pursues acting, he'll go far.
It boggles my mind that some people are saying how strong of a character that honey girl is and are actually suggesting to be like her!!? That girl is nothing but a greedy opportunist who latches onto others to uplift herself. She was never in love, she was never heartbroken, she was in it for the money from the beginning. I hate people like her in real life, and I definitely don't like characters like her on screen. So yeah, girls, don't be like her.
I saw a preview of the next episode. It seems that the scene where Fang Chi raped Gao Zhun in the car is changed,…
If that's the case then phew...
Drama Fang Chi is already so different from how I envisioned him while reading the book. Maybe it's because of Ollie, he's brought so much humanity to the character.
But I think the part where the rapist raping Gao again is still going to happen because they already filmed that scene a couple of episodes ago, and that promotional photoshoot seems to suggest they're going to develop some kind of f'ed up relationship. If that happens, IM GONNA LOSE IT! Like, oh you have to get raped again and again by your rapist, and then you'll start to like it and then you'll be fine, you'll get cured! Seriously, WTF? I wanna slap this writer.
Idk after I read the book, man I’m so depressed. I’m not sure how to process it. Maybe I’ll just consider ep 7 as the last episode for my mental wellbeing. It was so beautiful when they confessed. I want to remember that moment as their ending.
But yeah, I’m living for Ollie and Shuyuan’s livestreams now. They are so freaking adorable.
I really hope they drop the drama and focus on the real story because there's no way they adapted the BS I've…
I've read many danmeis and some of them are quite unhinged, but never read one like this. This is pure filth! Straight up rape romanticisation! What was the purpose of the movie they were making anyway? There was nothing going on apart from rape after rape, over and over again. I only read up to chapter 49 yesterday and I'm still traumatised. This writer is clearly a psychopath who made us love the characters, only to destroy them right in front of our eyes. Sad.
And seriously...what the actual f was that!!? I'm traumatised!!! What's wrong with this author!!? I genuinely…
Yeah they do, but I find it too disturbing in this one because Gao was already a rape victim, had PTSD because of it, and was undergoing therapy to get better, but then he ends up being raped again and again! He even ends up getting raped by his first rapist! And somehow he is ok with it. It's too much for me!
But I'm loving the drama so far and I hope I keep loving it. 😭

The amount of rape romanticising the author has done in this novel has left me revolted. I don't understand why the director chose to adapt this novel into a drama. Hope he changes it otherwise i'll be heartbroken.
I haven't finished the book yet but I'm so grossed out by the romanticisation of rape in the novel. What was the author trying to show here? That photoshoot between Gao Zhun and Wu Rong's character?! Was it supposed to suggest some kind of love triangle or what? 🤮
Also whatever is going on between Gao Zhun and Dr Fang is so wrong. I think people are going to be disappointed by what happens in the upcoming episodes with their storyline if it stays the same as it does in the book. But yeah, I haven't finished it yet, so maybe there's more to it.
I do find her advice to Xie Dan Yi good though. Chasing after a men who is cheating on you or stringing you along…
From her mannerisms, I think it's easy to see that there is no love lost between her and Zhen Xin. So of course, it's easy for her to give that advice. Unlike Danyi, she isn't hurt. She is just using Zhen Xin.
Sorry but I don't care about the girlfriends. I don't care about their feelings. I don't care about the cheating. I don't even know what they were talking about, wasn't paying attention to the subs. They can f off for all I care. I just want my boys to be free from them 😁

I really hope the drama has a different plot. I love Ollie and Shuyuan way too much to watch them go through this shit!
