I see everyone cheering for the slap the ML got from the FL, but I wince every time scenes like this are included between couples. It’s so triggering for me. I don’t get any enjoyment from watching scenes like this play out.
As many have said, Xie Zheng’s confession was heartfelt and sincere. The way he recounted their shared moments in Lin’an made it clear that they were just as precious to him as they were to her. Apart from his identity, everything was genuine. This ultimately reassures Changyu.
ok im confused. so sui yuanhai’s dad defected from the emperor and rebelled? i always thought they were from a different kingdom. was that information just revealed in today’s episode? please don’t answer if it contains spoilers 😭
I mean what's wrong with it though? the man is always cooking - this time there's nothing wrong to see the female…
unlike you, some of us want both the ML and FL to have equal footing. he is just there to be pretty! lol if the same phrase were mentioned in regards to the FL, heads would roll. but yeah as long as it’s directed at a man, it’s ok. i hate this pseudo feminism bs.
They really don't need to make Changyu the main character in every important execution of a war strategy.... the…
exactly, it’s getting ridiculous. they’re making a mary sue out of her. can we have the marquis of wu’an in action now, please? let the other characters have their moment to shine as well.
there is no doubt this is the best cdrama for me and i love every second of it. but today’s battle felt too good to be believable. sorry but the heroine's characterisation now feels borderline mary sue.
9.2? This is a comedy, not a serious drama. At least it tries to be funny, not really my taste. The characters…
There is nothing else to the story? Really? Romance aside, it has whole ass political stuff left to unravel. I want to know what happened all those years ago, about Xie Zheng's investigation, about our heroine's real identity....
Yes she acted on her own without seeking permission from the higher ups because she knows nothing about military protocol. But she didn't act recklessly without thinking. She had previously promised Yan Zheng that she would bring meat and salt so that he could recover quickly. She was worried sick about him being injured but had to go to the front line. Everything she did was in line with her character. Her ultimate goal is to provide for and take care of Yan Zheng.
I love seeing Changyu and GongsunYin together. They’re hilarious. He wasn’t too happy to part with his silvers but Changyu’s on a mission to provide for her husband 😂
even though i was like wth are u doing changyu, it was so therapeutic to see the pig butcher squad getting their fill of punching that monster in the face. stripping him was the icing on the cake lol. it would have been even better if changyu had cut off his...
No but do ancient Chinese war headgear really look like that? Xie Zheng’s entry scene was supposed to look cool…
Those feathers actually made him look more majestic. They are worn by highly decorated war heroes of high status, the longer they are, the greater their glory.
i just love it when he is with changyu, his whole demeanor changes, his face relaxes, his voice softens. while with everyone else, his face looks so annoyed lol like he's in pain enduring being in their presence. also the fact that all his life, both in palace and battlefield, he has been surrounded by cutthroats, he can only find peace in changyu's presence 🥹
If he tells her the truth already then what’s the point of watching the rest of the episodes from a romance perspective? I easily get bored when the leads get together early on and there’s nothing left to look forward to.
I’m loving this pace. Everything is happening at the right time, like pieces of a puzzle fitting together.
