I knew I'd be blown away by all the NC scenes, but I was not ready for their sweet moments to be even more deadly! When Zhen Xin told Zhang Zhun that he'd heard him say his name...with that smirk...omg! And the way he protected Zhang Zhun from hitting his head. And the way Zhang Zhun caressed his hand afterward. And the way they looked at each other when he was about to put that cream on him. Or that scene where he was so pleased to hear that the other guy had slept on the sofa. I'm so undone by this drama 😩😭

I want to give a shoutout to the young director as well. He had the balls to include NC scenes between a non CP which I don't think anyone has dared to do in a Chinese BL before. The way he shot both stories so differently was also really commendable. I'd love to see more of his work in the future.

Ok so I'm reading the novel now and I expected Zhang Zhun to be less attractive since Madam Qin called him "ugly boy" in the drama. But to my surprise, he's actually described as really beautiful in the book. Also I understood why Shuyuan got the part. His eyes are exactly how they're described in the novel.
