I'm not a horror fan and only really watch horror by chance, so I haven't seen much of his work . I loved Crows…
That's fair enough! He's got plenty for everyone hshs. I am really excited about the other two crows movies, I haven't had chance to binge the rest yet but the first was brilliant. I haven't heard that one recommended actually, you'd be the first! I'll have to push that one up my PTW list and take a look sooner ^^ Thank you!
I think he's very hit or miss, I usually DNF most of his movies. But I recently saw First Love at my local theater…
I would tend to agree, a few of his films I've had to come back to after leaving a few days (I'm incapable of dropping anything, but if I could, I admit I'd have a few of his on there) First Love sounds very promising which I'm really thankful for! Whenever an Asian film does well in the west I'm always hesitant because its never quite the same for constant consumers of the media so this is really hopeful! As much as I love his horror, I do think he's more suited to action sometimes ><
It is very unique and very quirky!! A proper little feel good film wrapped up with a lil scarf!Ahh I adore them.…
On LBD you can set it so that it fades watched films in a list! And yeah you can't export stuff other than your full data on LBd but the staff are looking at ways to improve the list feature and that's been mentioned frequently ^^ LBd is 8 years old but it's only recently started growing its user base more so there's a lot to be done for the staff
I can't speak for others but for me, part of the appeal is he was one of the first Japanese directors I actually…
I hope you enjoy it! It's definitely one to sit back and just have a giggle at whilst also being unnerved!
I will definitely look into them! I'm curious now since I'm also looking into Japanese short films for my next article as well! Ohhh I see! However I think revenge does fit. With Exte, the curse is set because a woman wants revenge for the way she died; revenge horror is a very vast definitive genre so it does relatively fit!! I'll check out Tag and this series next!
Hshs from what I've seen so far I think I will enjoy it. I love directors who can master many different types of genres and mediums and make each one their own, they always have a massive backlog to enjoy in different ways.
I hope you can enjoy them more now with a different perspective!

They don't include TV shows on Letterboxd unfortunately other than a few rare ones that are cinematic in portrayal (such as haunting of hill house), I don't know a specific app for TV, my anime list is good for anime and manga but I just continue using imdb and tmdb for tv shows until I've found one ^^

Letterboxd is amazing, it's become my replacement from imdb! $19 gives you a pro membership and tracks all your stats (I'm at 1044 films, 1555 hours of film, 748 directors and 46 countries, its great statistics they show). And the community is just like MDL but worldwide cinema! Reviews can be as short as you like and it's just properly geared around love of films and cinema, it's a really nice community.

My shorts list on MDL is here (this one isn't my official challenge list but I use it to share MDL listed shorts I have and want to watch, I add links when I've watched them!) : https://kisskh.at/list/MLOqKWe4 And my full challenge list worldwide is here on Letterboxd: 1,000 Short Films in a Year https://boxd.it/451dW And then all shorts listed on LBd: Shorts https://boxd.it/44tqM (not many different on here since I started watching properly this year, but there's still some)
I just watched girl on the top film it quit unique i also love short films ❤️
It is very unique and very quirky!! A proper little feel good film wrapped up with a lil scarf! Ahh I adore them. I started a challenge this year to watch 1000 shorts in a year and its introduced me to such an amazing sub genre of cinema. I can't believe how much I was missing before!
Oh wow. Thanks for the list. I'm so intrigued rn... imma binge watch them all
You're more than welcome!! The short film industry is so full of so many good films, I can't wait to see what you think of these and please do go digging around for more here and there! So many short directors show so much skill and promise ^^
I will be writing one on Sion as well! (if someone else doesn't claim) and shiraishi Koji too!!
I've been very curious about Laplace, what did you think about it?
He is so versatile it's almost ridiculous, his new film looks quite unique from him but still so easily noticeable as his, I'm so excited for it
Might have to do a part 2 with the recommendations I'm getting!
Which ones have you seen? I'm curious what you thought of them ^^

Summer Bus was really wonderful, just so wonderful and warm! I couldn't stop smiling throughout it
