randomly thinking back to this drama today because the ost played on shuffle. i cant believe it has been over 10 years. i still remember it was so good and my teen self was shipping the ML and FL so much lol.
there isn't much chemistry between the ML and FL imo, and the ending ...bruh, i feel like it would've been better…
;) maybe flare as spoiler just in case! but i expected a plotwist and i suspected her until almost the end! her assurance in threatening chair Kim towards the end ticked me as a bit strange and overconfident⦠i thought she might be sure of herself bc she knew someone would kill for her.. only for her to be shocked whwn she finds the body lol
Iād give it a 7.5. I looked forward to it every week and enjoyed it, though I was a bit disappointed by the obvious culprit. I thought there might be a twist at some point, but oh well.
The soundtrack was great, especially the three main songs (~fear insiiiiiiiide!!~), and I liked the couple. I do think it would have been better if some parts had been developed more, maybe with 14 episodes instead of 12. There were quite a few illogical and poorly written scenes, which I think came from rushing due to the schedule. I also think the dialogue wasnāt fully fleshed out in some parts.
And once again, I think the siren elements were underused. I liked the painting scene about the siren at the end, but it would have been more interesting to see how the MC was viewed as a siren by all the men who were in love with her(!!!)
Overall, a good drama, but way too predictable for mystery thriller fans. I was a bit disturbed by PMYās botox situation at first but quickly got used to it. in spite of the linited movement on her face Iām sorry but she still surpasses a lot of actors in terms of body language, voice acting and emotion. I hope she is well though :(.. Some really good-looking scenes and touching moments.. ah, the crying scene in episode 11 was beautifully done. I LOVE seeing men lead cry! I cannot get enough of it, i LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Give me more, give me more. Kdramas lately donāt show menās tears enough. (ļ¼āµŠā²) Come onnnn!!!
Iāve skipped forward through a few parts so far (just finished episode 8). i love anything related to ghosts or shamanism, so Iāll definitely keep watching,it is entertaining enough (i like the leads and i look forward to seeing more chemistry when they work together in the upcoming episodes.) but itās more of a drama you can multitask with. i think it doesnāt quite have the thrill I expected. some episodes are tearjerkers (or maybe itās the luteal phase lmao) but still , I wouldnāt rush to give it a bad rating just yet, as some people have.. that feels a bit hasty and frankly, a little tacky. but hey, to each their own.
really looking forward to it. i love the casts announced so far and i had started lee seopās romance a while back ā going to binge read both manhwas to be ready when the adaptations drop!
my wild take on ep 10: the third person at the restaurant might be a cop/ someone from the insurance company. maybe thatās why the cops are portrayed as so incompetent(?) also the wife of the chief of the cop team was a bit sus. i think the photographer is too easy.. but maybe they laid all the hints for us to think ānah, too obviousā.
