I have read half of the novel. Though the drama followed novel pretty closely, many details were modified.According to what i have heard, God realm arc in the beginning of the drama is created newly for drama. In the novel, Shang gu is as the synopsis of this drama describes her as. She has spent countless years acting as the leader of true gods, So ShangGu ain't just 10,000 yo yongest true god in the novel. I don't know much as i have read the first half of the novel which tells the story of QM and HC directly. Second half of novel tells the story of SG and BJ, I think. And yeah, after 49 chapters, the novel i read was machine translated. Hardly could understand, but joined dots and somehow have read 2/3 of the novel.

ML is the grandson of the emperor that dies in the beginning of the drama. Whole royal family except ML's father and crown princess, her son were killed by SunTing(villain).

Late emperor's grandson( crown prince's son who is just around 8 years old) has escaped and is in hiding. ML wants to put him back on the throne.

Hi again🤭, how can it be a xianxia without leads who are good at poor communication. I think, since she never really knew the heavy responsibilities of people as she was always a carefree person under her sister, she wasn't brave enough to face hurdles with him by his side. She could only see what she was going through, and never his efforts. Still one of my fav dramas.. so no complaints 😬

I think Zhiyang was the eldest among them and TianQi was the youngest. I am just guessing. And XuanYi could have been a parental figure (somewhat, since he seemed to be the eldest of all gods, and would have been chief god if not for him going devil path).

You really have understood the drama very well. For me, everytime i rewatch, i try to think of different character's perspective. Like what was TianQi's life all along? How did BoXuan rise HC etc. Everytime i rewatch, it deepens my love for this drama.

You really understood BaiJue so better. He was the most hurt during the entire time. But apparently it looks like ShangGu/HouChi was the one being hurt.Agreed that she was hurt too,but was never intentionally.
Since the moment BJ met SG his life started going down. Even though he loved sacrifising, and we loved his sacrifises, when you try to see it from a new angle, you could see how tragic their life was.
She wished to protect everyone ended up dead, wishing she never had that resposibility. Then was reborn, while her wish came true to not be a god, still was always bullied. He made such a grand plan of 60,000 years just to keep her safe and happy, but ended up hurting her the most.

If ShangGu knew of him planning to sacrifice in her place, she would definitely do the same again, this time not only for 3 realms also for her beloved BaiJue. Even though BaiJue would still exist with newly found Chaos powers.(It didn't harm him, though the process of getting chaos power was deadly).
