The writers are really playing with us re: Sunny and Grim Reaper aren't they? At first they were making it so obvious that the Grim Reaper was the King in his past life (e.g., reapers are individuals who sinned greatly in their previous life, Shin jokingly asked if he used to be a King, his possible surname? is Wang, etc.) but they've also thrown in a bunch of hints for it being a gender swap thing (e.g., mentions of opposite sex reincarnations, ep 6 panning to Sunny's face in that coffee shop right after the King's face...) I feel like it could go either way at this point, and I'm honestly fine with either possibility!
I really reallly like goblin but not the main couple... the age gap in the drama is soooo big and uncomfortable..…
I get you, but I'm not using their real life ages to justify this if that was directed at me. If we're talking about in-drama age, she's 19 and he's 939 so it's weird either way. I think we should all remember that this is fantasy/supernatural. He's not even a human at this point; he's a supernatural being, a goblin that was resurrected from a sword bearing bad blood. At this point, I personally feel like Eun Tak is drawn to Shin because she hasn't had anyone like him in her life since her mother's passing. She's lonely, found a soul she connects to, and doesn't want to be abandoned. I'm sure he feels similarly. I think it's romantic as well, but I was just saying I don't think it's creepy because they're not trying to sexualize it. I'm sure a time skip will happen soon enough and people will stop freaking out over the age gap, even though the gap will still never actually change. This was too long, sorry I got carried away.

Even with the first-love feeling, I still can't grasp the creepiness factor. There's been nothing inherently sexual about it, just a very warm, affectionate bond developing between two lonely people. I've never watched A Muse (that one movie based on a novel Kim Go Eun starred in) but that one honestly shouts creepy to me haha

I never realized how similar Eun Tak and the Goblin's dynamic is to Rose and the Doctor (especially nine!!). Rose was my favorite companion and her and Ten were my favorite pairing. Really good comparison. Also, I feel like the growing affection between Eun Tak and the Goblin has been super innocent so far. Not sure why people are so 'creeped' out by it. They've got beautiful chemistry.
The poem? the goblin read at the end was sooo so beautiful. And then the previews for episode 5...there's…
I get why her age would weird some people out, but again, I think anyone would be way too young for a 939 year old goblin. I'd like to see them go forward enough time for her to be out of high school and out of that uniform though. Her outfits are making her look super young.
The poem? the goblin read at the end was sooo so beautiful. And then the previews for episode 5...there's gotta be a catch. Like she can't actually pull it out yet or something. I don't know, but this show already has me crying, and even though I'm a baby with most things, it takes a lot for a drama to make me cry ;~;
The end of episode 3....and then the previews for episode 4!! Everything seems to be moving so fast but I'm…
All very good points, guys! @hyerim, that actually sounds quite plausible! It would make sense too, considering ghosts constantly talk to her and she's mentioned how she's learned a lot from them, so she surely could've heard about the Goblin's tale.
The end of episode 3....and then the previews for episode 4!! Everything seems to be moving so fast but I'm loving every second of it. For some reason, there's still a tiny part of me that doubts she can see the sword, like maybe Eun Tak asked around and heard about it from the ghosts, since they seem to know a lot about the Goblin. But I'm not sure there would be a reason for her to lie? I mean, other than the keep him around? But idk....can it be tomorrow already??
anyone else notice how Eun Tak said that there's a saying that you'll marry your first love if you manage to catch a falling cherry blossom, and in the first ep, her 8 year old self caught one? :') I thought that was cute.
Even though Eun-Tak may seem over-enthusiastic and cutesy, I can see the sadness behind her eyes and how she's…
I actually heard about knetz hating her even before Goblin, which is such a pity :( They're missing out on talent. I totally agree with you about her aura! I'm a huge fan of the Cheese In The Trap webtoon and was really excited for the drama. Initially, I had doubts about KGE playing Seol because I had never seen her in anything prior, but she quickly proved my doubts wrong. She was awesome as Seol and has continued to show her talents as Eun Tak. I guess we'll just have to form our own Kim Go Eun/Eun Tak protection task force!!
Someone! Anyone! Please tell me why she had to be in high school. Like as soon as she was born I thought there…
Hmm that's weird. I did notice the phone model being recent but I thought that was just a flub. I just find it weird that they would focus on the picture/calendar year if it were wrong. I do still feel like there will be a time skip though, since she looks much more mature in the promotional pictures, but I could also be wrong about that haha

Tbh he's over 900....anyone would be too young for him. But if you want to get technical, Eun Tak turned 9 in 1998 (calendar can be seen during her bday scene), so it's currently 2008 in the show. I'm sure that can only mean we'll see a time skip pretty soon because there's no other reason to keep the show in 2008.

I feel like there's a polarity thing going on with people's views on Kim Go Eun. People either love her or dislike her (for whatever reason...I hear knetz hate her?). I'm also disappointed with comments about her appearance, saying she's not 'pretty enough' to be the female lead. I actually love her visuals; she's different from the typical Korean actress, and I think it's about time we see more natural beauties! Not that there's anything wrong with traditional beauty, it's just refreshing.
Lastly, I wanted to say I think her aegyo/optimistic character really balances out the bleakness of the goblin's reality. I obviously can't get enough of her!
Why isn't anybody talking about my bae Kim Go Eun?? Cute Cute Cute. Just waiting for today's episode…
tbh people are hyping up the two male leads so much they're neglecting kim go eun. she's doing great and showing her diversity!! i think her chemistry with gong yoo is beautiful too!
What's Sang Chul sunbae from CITT doing here? lolol he even has the same name and acts fairly similarly...I wonder if he's supposed to be the same character?
Finished episode 3 and I'm just loving this drama more and more every week. I won't lie...I totally…
That's also true! I guess that one moment kind of gave me the impression that he seems to take relationships rather lightly, but I can definitely understand your explanation. I also agree with your point on Hiramasa! God knows how many times I've acted the same with my own insecurities, recognized my behavior, but found it incredibly difficult to snap out of. Very relatable. Actually, I've been reading some negative comments about Hiramasa's character, specifically about how he's a "wimpy man" and I can't seem to agree. I think his insecurities are reasonable, and the approach the writer has taken so far feels refreshing.
